For the 1st part of the rogue quest for daggers, you don't need to be logged in for 12hrs for the ring to charge right? >.>

We've nearly downed Deathwing 10man (had it at 5mil), but as it was our 2nd time on the final platform yesterday, the healers vastly underestimated how hard the terrors hit, so tank died pretty fast. When the 2 terrors were killed, 3 DPS had died. But we had to wrap it up as people needed to go.

(I instructed the tank to tank it in the yellow swirls)

We're sure to down it tonight assuming the same pick up Healing Priest comes along now that the healers know how the terrors hit.

I read a few pages back that a DK's Army can work here. I tried it and also tried it in LFR, looks like it was ninja modified or something, but they never tauned. So I'll need to go back tonight and tell the guys to ignore what I was saying

Would it be ideal to timewarp as soon as the terrors come, or roughly 15~ seconds after the terrors are up? I'm confident with our DPS (which isn't so good to begin with, 55k, 45k, 45k, 35k, 34k, 28k) we can burn them down quick enough before it becomes a threat, then spend the remaining time burning Deathwing, as when the next wave of terrors come (on our attempt mentioned above, Deathwing had 5 mil left with 3 DPS and 1 tank down before the 2nd terrors came)

The healers had no trouble keeping me alive (DK DPS) when the tank went down for a brief period, so I assume it's just the fact that they weren't prepared for the heavy incoming damage on the tank. I guess tonight they will be much more prepared.

Setup:
Paladin Tank
Healing Shaman
Healing Priest
DPSx7 (DK DK, dudu Druid, 2x hunter, mage)

I'm just guessing, but they can probably generate threat from normal attack. If you use army when they just spawned, it might be enough to keep them away from the group (if nobody attacks them)

Wait...with cross server raiding, does that mean we will be able to have achievement run and shit like this on BG? Hell, we might even get our own raid drama if we are lucky.

I hope they will open Dragon Soul for it tho.

Didn't bother with army in the end. Just burned the 2 terrors down, timewarp after 1 of them were dead, then just zerged deathwing. Was a bit close at the end but 4 of us lived and we killed it.

I thought we couldnt cross server raid DS yet? If we can we sure need to get one going, so I can ninja some heroic gear from ya'll.

It'll be available in 4.3.2, but can only do LFR DS:

We previously introduced the ability to form cross-realm parties with Real ID friends, and now with Patch 4.3.2, we're adding the ability for players to use that same functionality to form raids to run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds!

This will allow you to join up with your Real ID friends from other realms and:

Form a cross-realm raid and use Raid Finder
Jump in to any classic dungeon or raid and be automatically placed in the same instance
Join forces and dominate the Battlegrounds

Please note, you will not yet be able to run normal or Heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm Real ID raids.

Not sure what they meant by "classic dungeon or raid." Everything pre-BC? That'd be kinda lame.

I hope they will add current raids eventually, would be sweet, but it could still be decent for older achievements run or w/e. If we have enough.

So I've been 85 on Hunter for like 2 weeks now, and almost at 2200 VP. Looking for a recommendation on my first purchase:

I really want to get rid of the 272 Trinket (lol >.<), but I don't like the VP on-use trinket. The necklace is the 2nd weakest piece of gear, so that's another option. Any general tips appreciated as well.

I am aware of hit caps, and I know I'm missing a lot of enchants, sockets, etc., but I didn't want to mess with them too much while I'm still getting new gear all the time. I'm also working on some faction rep in the meantime.

Is there a reason why combat rogues use rupture? 5pt evisc does more than a 5pt rupture, is there a specific reason to keep rupture up?

If you have the bleed debuff (mangle etc) then it is worth using if you are min/maxing as it is a ~1% dps increase. If you don't care for that 200-400dps, and/or don't have the bleed debuff on what you're fighting, then it is a dps loss to use.

So rogues are only using it if the debuff is provided and want that ~300dps or whatever it is. It's more dps than like 3-4 epic gems would provide, so if you feel epic gems are worth it then it is worth it.

Any hunter add-ons or chart that can help me sort which pet to use? It's annoying figuring it in pug every time.

Also, how do you not lose your pet in madness to the Bolt on 4th platform?

you pretty much only need to have 4 pet to choose from: wolf=crit, cat=agi/str, raptor=sunder, hyena=mangle
you shouldnt even bother with other pets cuz they're not ferocity

not sure about bolt, i never have a problem with pet dying, aoe heals alone should be able to keep it up. put on passive when it's about to land maybe? then sic it back again when it's over

Killed Deathwing in LFR today, and double dagger and double axe dropped.

I was on Resto spec instead of my main of Enhancement, so when I lotted 'need' I didn't get the role bonus.

Noone else needed any of them, but some rogue rolled 'need' on all four, and immediately disbanded. He ended up winning them all, and noone was able to pick them up even though he'd left the raid long before the rolls even happened.

I waited around until every other person left, hoping to pick up an axe, but once everyone else was gone, it wouldn't even let me check the elementium fragment anymore.

Any way to avoid this in the future? Obviously I'll LFR as DPS only in the future, but anything other than that? It sucks watching the item I wanted most go to waste.

Edit: God, just read this in the 4.3.2 patch notes:

"Players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single Raid Finder boss kill. For example, a player who chooses Need on two set piece tokens or two weapons and wins the first, will not be eligible for the second on that particular boss."

FML, that's what I get for squeezing in a 1am raid before the servers went down.
