I honestly don't know much about mage anymore. Just trying to help our struggling mage through heroics and I question her spell selection.

Only actually good if you have the 4x AB debuff, as that boosts arcane damage (but also costs more). If they don't have the debuff, blizzard is better (in Yorsahj, they should be targeting a focused enemy (preferably theirs) and be exploding. If they've talented into the shorter duration, it's 4x AB, 4x AE, AB, 4x AE, etc until there are less than 4 mobs.

Little Late, but as you found out, yes it does. You can also "cheat" the system with Feats of Strength on a lot of mounts as well. Mounts such as Ashes, Attumen and Baron can be looted by one person, and then traded to another to get the achievement. If you are duo farming and one of you doesnt really care about themount and just wants the FoS, this is the way to go. A lot of the older FoS dungeon/raid drop mounts give the FoS upon loot AND upon use because they were created before the 2hour loot window.

They were probably worried at the crying it would generate when the first world kill would be a cross server group composed of 11 mages with legendary.

To be honest, I can imagine why they wouldn't do this right away. It was a new features, and there is always a risk that it's abused, or that people find some sort of gamebreaking loophole. They probably want to test the water first, which is understandable.

When I decided to give WoW a second shot, I used the 'free trial' version which gave me a trial account that was associated with my bnet account. Is there any way to remove it now that I've reactivated my old account?

It's not really hurting anything I suppose, but I'd like to get rid of the clutter if possible.

Edit: Nevermind, apparently I have to submit a ticket to have it removed.

You can "dual box" to create a raid yourself, providing the trial char is level 10

I use it so I don't have to depend on some asshole@trade (who will request a stupid amount of gold)/guild/friend.

Nobody ever asked me for money to form a raid. I usually get 3-4 replies immediately when I ask. But yeah, I would keep that 2nd account anyway. It still has its use.

I blame the continent I'm in then. EUs seem so unfriendly in comparison to Americans.

But the good thing is that you don't have to depend on anyone. So there is no guilt in "keeping in touch" with the people that do help you, or trying to filter out the greedy dickheads.

I sometimes wished I can play on the US servers. Judging from the complaints here it seems they are much more fun to screw around with haha.

It might be the "female character" effect that play in my favor, but I don't know.

The way the question is asked also have a noticeable effect. Short impersonal requests are less successful usually.

I have an alt account I almost never used, planning to use SoR on it and create a new horde DK on it, to boost my original account. My question is, do I need to receive a Scroll of Ressurection invite from someone on the realm I'm looking to make the DK on? or am I able to create a new Horde DK on my realm of choice and then boost it to 80? Ignoring the free faction/realm move all together?

You are able to make a new char on whatever realm you choose.

I SOR'd myself from Grizzly Hills, then made a new toon on Ysera (my main realm) and boosted it to 80, ignoring the whole faction/realm change crap.

I wish I had realized that starting BH would increase the chance of winning pvp gear. If you roll on PvE gears first, 3/4 of the raid disband before you get to the PvP pieces you need.

Is there any way to replace the default pointer? I have a tendency to lose it, particularly during 25-man raids and all of the disco balls and rainbow strobe lights and such.

Edit: I found the _Cursor add-on, which draws enough attention to the standard pointer that it's a non-issue now.
