But yeah, I explained that because I know some would think "but all the time I spent!" (me too, I never agreed with it at the beginning either) as I complained by when I first was 20 to my 2 RL friends that I didn't like my race.

After some complaining I finally buckled down to delete my char to pick something else. It was demoralising at first, but then a month later when I hit 80 I quickly understood why it was a no brainer.

Yeah I tank heroic ultrax in like 3 pieces of tank gear and the rest dps. Normal modes can prob tank every single thing in the instance in full dps gear at this point.

I can confirm heroic ultraxion can be tanked in full DPS gear

-- if your healers are just plain good then they won't notice a difference. Blood 4-set can help though if your healers are struggling towards the end of the fight.

For heroic morchok, I ninja swapped to full DPS gear to test our new healer on his 2nd heroic morchock run. He never noticed.

(all my info relates to 10man. I'm sure it might be harder or impossible in 25man where all bosses swing harder?)

Heroic Yoshi you should definitely tank in DPS gear. I piled up my Bloodshield to 300k+ during skittles and all I took was magic damage (which were mitigated via mirror and then anti magic shell)

I tanked twice in tank gear and was unable to pile up high blood shields, causing me to take more damage despite timing my death strikes. By going DPS gear I ignored timing completely and spat out Death Strikes consistantly (making clever use of Blood Tap turning a full blood rune into a death rune, which, as a result of that, fills up another rune immediately, allowing for 1 death strike)

Currently I want to try Zonozz heroic with dps gear but my guild put in a new guy, paladin tank, as tank instead and I was pushed to dps

.. he sucks. The 2nd laser kills him most of the time before the dark phase. i can mitigate that damage near completely lol

Do you have access to General Vezax in Ulduar 10 immediately after killing Kologarn, or do you need to clear all keepers first? I just want 1 piece of transmog loot from him so I'm contemplating soloing him but not if I have to clear everything else

I got my 403 Gurth and tested myself, STR doesn't affect proc, and it's about a 1.6k~ difference in the tentacles.

AP does, it's easy to see when you're a blood DK and you have full vengeance compared to none.

Goblin has an amazing racial only rivaled by Worgen. And they have a haste buff too.

so is elitistjerks pretty much the BG of WoW? theory crafting and shit? wanting to know where i should go to learn about how to gear my shitty combat rogue. I've heard haste isn't quite as valued as it is in xi, but i would assume it is still usable on a combat rogue just because such a huge bulk of their damage comes from auto attacking?

Yeah, pretty much, though the EJ forums are even stricter than BG Advanced--at least from when I remember it.
