You tanking madness 1 tank Plow?
We also killed spine and are working on madness. Granted, it's actually still quite easy until the last platform where we lack practice.
Druid 1 tanking.
To give you an idea what I'm working with here, our dps on tendons was:
me- 4.75m
druid tank- 3.8m (nerf zerk srsly)
hunter- 3.7m
and that's roughly 60% of their combined hp...
we're actually planning on monday, if we get a raid together, to try Gr > R > B > Gold, with hero on the last one if necessary to beat cata with no alex or spellweave, cuz then no bolt will land which makes the whole first part of the fight pretty simple
I'll suggest that with raid but the bolt isn't actually too bad. Combined with my 4 set vamp blood and rallying cry and self cool downs it doesn't affect us that much.we're actually planning on monday, if we get a raid together, to try Gr > R > B > Gold, with hero on the last one if necessary to beat cata with no alex or spellweave, cuz then no bolt will land which makes the whole first part of the fight pretty simple
What I don't understand is the need to burn hero for the parasite. As long as we DPS it down to 500k (easy) it can just blow up for 50k and we can shrug it off. With 30% buff it feels absolutely unnecessary to spend hero there. Besides, when the bolt hits we are a little spread anyway (hunter is next to tentacle, I run out of range to avoid 2nd imaple, he deterrences, I shield up = minimal damage).
are you 1 or 2 tanking? we're 1 tanking and having spriest eat the 2nd impales, aaaaand she happens to be a clicker so the whole ordeal of dealing with an unslowed parasite into bolt landing really close to the 2nd impale = she dies
we were actually going to try heroing there just to make the healing easier, but after some thought it seems as long as the hero would get us through a gold as final platform dps wise, it should make basically everything easier
We're 1 tanking too (me), with a hunter eating 2nd impale (feign death cancels the cast).
Last platform we've not had much practice but we found a guide which basically states:
DPS DW to 17%
Kill fragment tentacles
Kill 2 terrors
Push DW to spawn bloods
Kill bloods, DPS DW just above 10%
and repeat
During the 15% nerf it made the fight "really easy" for them, so now with the 30% I'm confident we can do it easy like this.
I was dying to tetanus as I let it stack too high before trying to drop it via AMS, but on one attempt I cancelled my stacks and dropped quick afterwards anyway when it built up quite fast. So now, if we zerg them down, I'll live forever, basically.
Ahhh ok, makes more sense then. Blizzard needs to learn what the fuck "pushed forward" means to people. Guess that gives me plenty of time to level up my DK and then start on Monk.
I havnt done any leveling in the beta, how is it compared to Cataclysm? aka can you do 5 lvls in a fucking day.
85 to 90 is around 18 to 20 hours playtime
I cant remember my total hours played when I marathoned to 85 from 80, not counting the hour or so where quests were bugged and not giving any exp (better not happen again, fuck it was annoying), but that sounds about the same or maybe a little bit longer considering you can't fly around in the zones at the start correct? (thought they were making it more ground based due to how easy and boring cataclysm was being able to fly from A to B).
With my schedule now with classes that should be doable in 3 or 4 days on my DK and then I can start on my monk.
Debating if i should stay Shadow Priest for MoP or reroll Boomkin and main that
Reasoning: Guild has 4 Spriests. Im the best/close second depending on fight. No boomkins
Boomkin is pretty op now, so yea... Just hope it doesn't get nerfed at launch
Yeah boomkin is looking decent. Normally I would say gtfo of priest if there is that many, but with the priest changes and how fun/great spriest is looking then I'd say play whatever is a more fun playstyle for you.
Anyone testing warrior out at all at 90? Lot of hate and shit on forums and I have no idea why.
hah I don't think anyone here plays Warrior seriously.
I was a 2200 haste fury war for 3 weeks for lolz, with 397 pvp fist weapons
Spoiler: show
Warrior was a pain in the ass to play just because of all the roots, will be interesting in MoP since I think they have a talent where their leap removes snares and makes them immune to snares for (x) duration.
Bored. Seeing if I can do something different.
Plus, with the Alar fists it looks pretty boss. I'm bored with this game's cookie cutter concepts. It's fun to top DPS meters in some fights and some random dude whispers me "wtf" lol
EDIT (to Meresgi who posted just before I did): Trust me I'm not being retarded but Warriors seem that dull and I wanted to do something different. DPS was slightly lower yes but my gear makes up for the damage loss--
At the moment I'm a full mastery Arms War as a test :: My stats say I've got 47% chance of opportunity strike. Although the common place for Arms is Crit > Mastery, I decided to reverse it to try and maximise Collosal Smash uptime.
Oh I know you werent being retarded lol, I just think it's pretty cool when people can snag 2200 on different specs no one thinks can work.
Cookie cutter specs onry bro
Does anyone know what will carry over into the new expansion? I assume that any points will be converted to gold again, but i hear that people are saving up honor points. I don't remember this working in any other expansion, or if it did not being worth more than a single piece of gear.
None will carry over, I don't think. There's still a possibility that they will do away with JP altogether.
