So, I did a bit of testing on this.

First off, full heroic dps gear was not even close to full pvp gear with a couple of heroic pieces. I can't remember exact numbers offhand, but the heroic gear was 3.1k-3.5k per hit, and the pvp stuff was 3.5-3.9k.

At that point I decided to get full pvp gear with trinkets and everything, blah blah, I was able to set up a test of 182 pvp power vs 184 str.

182 pvp power beat 184 str by about 150 per hit, 3.75 average vs 3.6 average.

So, it's already worth gemming power over stats.

Further, in MoP, secondary stat gems get twice as much as core stats... i.e. 160 str vs 320 pvp power, resil, hit, whatever.

So there will be absolutely no comparison then, power all the way, fuck socket bonuses.

Awesome, I wish the pvp weapons had power on them since im still rocking a Gurth. Any clue if the lvl 90 weapons will have power?

They said they will have power I believe. It's only currently the weapons don't because they don't care/end of expansion. I'll see if i can track down the power.

Also this concept was to discourage the use of pvp in pve.

and the use of pve in pvp, though the 40% base resil was, in part, intended to lessen the disparity between ungeared and geared in pvp. (used to be fresh 85 = 0 reduction, geared = ~55% reduction, now it's fresh = 40%, geared = 60%.)

I'm not sure what the deal is with weapons, I get the impression they wanted pve weapons to stay superior.

I mean, it's not like they added pvp power to everything else, they just converted half the resil to power.

Anyone know if you go into a saved Dragon Soul with only madness left, can you swap it to heroic or does it have to be a full heroic clear up to madness like with Ragnaros?

Anyone having trouble with WAR tanks?

Basically the incoming damage seems huge in comparison to DK, Bear and Paladin.

Personally my healers couldn't heal me on Ragnaros the other week. In LFR we had 2 WAR tanks that were dropping to devastates and stomps, etc.

^ Not sure, I know my fiance was taking massive dmg as a bear tank last week on Rag, might be due to all the changes but they also fucked around with Mastery on bears so I think that played a big part in it. I have a warrior quest as well for anyone, I notice on my warrior alt the stances dont have negatives anymore? Beserker stance doesnt make you take more dmg? So what stance do warriors dps/pvp in now?

Went in the other day with 2 bosses cleared on normal rest heroic and tried to switch spine to heroic and it would not let us even though we have previously cleared the first 6 bosses on heroic. I'll assume you have to had cleared all bosses on heroic

So, dumb question maybe, but is anyone still running DS10H or anything post-nerf? I just reactivated after a decent break about a week ago, and was curious about getting in on a run and possibly buying the mount.

If you want to buy the mount your best bet is to check your realm forums. With only a week left, most guilds are either taking a break or have buyers planned already.

Horde, or I totally would.

Also, I knew in asking it that it was a pretty huge stretch that anyone would be willing or able this close to the end of the expansion. I suppose if I can't swing a group, I'll just make a farming cycle out of it towards the middle of MoP and gun for the 1%.

On a related note though, is there anyone Horde side that wants to queue for a couple of the newer heroics? I'm kind of gunning to do those too and get one of the bears from the new ZA, but I have a feeling I'd get vote kicked over not being in all 359+ purples, and my guild apparently disbanded at some point.

just to clarify... you do know the deathwing mount is the exact same as the meta mount just without the twilight shading, right?

meta mount not getting removed, and it no longer requires spine or madness heroic, so getting it even now is a complete joke, let alone in panda

personally I've been farming/selling madness with a group where everyone else had it for like... 8 weeks? now, and I just got mine tuesday, and I only took it cuz our buyer for the week no showed and we ended up just carrying an old friend of the guild and our main shaman's 85-for-like-3-hours new mage

I will say that was pretty hilarious, though, all of ds heroic in an hour flat with 2 people that didn't hit 15k til madness.

Yeah, I'm aware, and I'm aware most of the raid is a joke now too. The problematic thing for me is that I transferred off of Kilrogg to "help a friend" with "a guild made of mostly good people" towards the beginning of Cataclysm, because Clout Mace had been kind of waning and under new leadership, and I ended up being in a guild where only a couple of us were good/ready/prepared for shit, and most people were expecting to pretty much be carried at the beginning of Cata.

An old, old friend berated me for "being an elitist" and I just told her she could go fuck herself and I was done carrying so-and-so's best's friend's uncle who couldn't even show up to a raid with enchanted gear or elixirs. And then ended up taking an extended break from the game altogether.

What pets do hunters use these days? I have Core hound and Wolf for their buffs.. as well as spirit owl from hyjal. Spider, and jormungand. Also specwise i think mine is fail... http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...regan/Maluroon What would you suggest? I just hit 85 so ignore the gear. Beast mastery seems kinda meh in dungeons vs. survival to me. Is this a gear issue or just how it's supposed to be? (Sorry i've never really played hunter before)

edit: I Should mention i've no intention of pvping really. So just dungeons/LFR and such.

any pet that can give you buff/debuff that you're missing, you can respec all pets to ferocity now so it really doesnt matter which pet you use.

all pet base dps are the same

I use a spirit beast for pretty much everything PVE. If it's AoE heavy, I bring out a worm for burrow attack.
