alright, guess I'll go alliance then.
How much gold is it? You don't need that much leveling up, mount is only 40g at level 30. You'll have that much just by picking a gathering profession and selling the ores/herbs/leather on AH. By the time you get to outlands(epic riding), you'll make like 2-3k. Gold is eassyyyy
After further review of reactivating, I must have sent my gold to a friend.
So from what I understand warlock is more DoT and mage is nuking, like rdm and blm respectively, right? which one would be better for solo exp and which would be more needful towards higher levels? also which race would be better for them undead or blood elves?
Locks are a pet job, mages aren't. Locks use the pet to solo, mages use their shields. Lock is slower death, mages are quick bursts of dps, but both are brutal if done right.
Both classes are useful later on, but I would pick mage first because of having City portals and they can make their own food/water. Was talked about before, but race doesn't matter that much, just don't pick a blood elf male![]()
Just because of the looks.
Melfs are the superior race, ignore the hate.
yea I went with the blood elf male mage
you can send the gold over by using the booty bay AH. put some worthless item up for w/e gold you want to send over and get on the ally char and buy said item.
How much should I trust Rawr?
It says with my gear that I'd do best with a fireball TtW build now. Any thoughts?
The World of Warcraft Armory
So even in a DPS spec, with my gear (which is admittedly still crappy, I'm using tank pieces here and there for lack of a better option at the moment, been on an extended break so haven't been able to grind out more heroics or such) recount on a dummy is putting me at only about 2300 dps after 5 minutes, spamming cooldowns for trinket/Tiger's Fury/Berserk...I feel like I'm doing everything right*, is this normal and I just need better gear? Slightly concerned that I'm missing something critical :S
*Keep Mangle up, keep Rake up, use Shred for CP outside those two, keep SR up, keep Rip up, FB extra CP if both SR and Rip are > 15sec...Rip has been falling off somewhat due to CP misses, but SR I'm pretty good about refreshing if it has < 10s
What I don't get is my gear has better stats than yours (agi / hit , blahblah) , but I can't put numbers up like you do, I put out 1800 at most on a heroic training dummy in cat form, hell my bear's dps could use some work too since I don't even do much there compared to the other tanks.
Speaking of, I recently respecced the other day into an experimental "Bearcat" build and dropped shapeshifter and picked up infected wounds, people would swear by it that it was the most amazing thing for tanking since it's essentially a slow+10% on the monster when capped, but I haven't tanked anything worthy yet that didn't register it as immune, what gives? Does the trait suck or am I just not seeing things clearly? I'm tempted to put them back into improved mangle.
The immune you're seeing is only for the move speed effect I believe, the attack speed effect applies regardless.
Infected Wounds is basically our version of Thunderclap, which is assumed to be applied to any boss, so it's super excellent for tanking.
I thought about doing a 'bearcat' and alt-speccing tree, but really would like to be a pro tank first and foremost (can't do that with a bearcat without sacrificing dps entirely really), and felt dps spec would be easier to gear and easier to work with the UI (healers care about radically different things from tanks/dps in raids usually); if there were a way to set up like a whole shmorgasboard of addon data in separate 'profiles' for each spec I'd have done it. Instead I'll probably level another Druid at some point and do boomkin/tree haha.
Also what's your spec? There's a few talents in there that can make a big difference and you have to be intelligent about when you use Tiger's Fury w/KotJ so you get the maximum benefit from it.
Any good places to get a hunter and a druid guide?
EJ and rawr, druidwiki, toskk all offer good info for druids. They all conflict, but you just have to use the one that mirrors your play style the most. I put out 4500 sustained dps to a lvl 80 target over 18 minutes, self buffed today, and 4200 against a heroic training dummy![]()
