You can't do terrace unless you have someone in raid who has an empress kill. I'd just go through progression linearly honestly.

Well there's always the chance we pick up someone with access, but if linearly is the best bet we'll do that.

You should be able to clear HoF now without too much problems. But if not, I recommend picking up someone to let you into terrace because imo all 4 bosses are easier than Amber Shaper / Empress.

Really? Thanks. We have a few friends that have it cleared so maybe we'll do that. We had a bit of trouble with elegon but that was due to a bad connection night and having to pug 2 people, but it still only took 2-3 tries. Will of Emp we 1 shot. We'll probably do HoF but if we can get access maybe we'll try terrace.

I don't really like glancing at my bottom bars, it's too distracting for me. I prefer to have certain information near the middle of the screen where I can see it in the periphery or glance at it without too much eye movement. Brozy's link worked out nicely, with a couple of modifications.

Well MSV is a joke now, and we're progressing into HoF.

Are there any Heroic MSV bosses that we'd be capable of doing?

Okay so I decided today I was going to try Tempest Keep for the first time.

How in the bloody murderous fuck do you do this shit? I've read the strategies on Wowhead but no matter what I do, I can not DPS the weapons down fast enough to save my ass from getting raped by the advisers. I tried running to the Al'ar room, I've tried staggering where the advisers die, none of this is working because regardless of where they die, I get my ass ripped open by the fucking weapons.

I'm SPriest so my AOE options are limited so what do I need to do here? Get better gear? I know the obvious answer is "suck less" but I find myself getting shadow locked all the time which doesn't help anything since 99% of my spells are shadow. It's a DPS race I'm obviously losing, maybe someone else who has done this can shed some light.

If getting shadow locked is what's preventing you from killing them quickly enough, simply get a distance away and be prepared to burst down the phaseshift bulwark as soon as they're attackble, after that it doesn't matter too much the order they die in, but the cosmic infuser heals, so may be a good second target, otherwise just aoe them down.

Unfortunately, the 4 advisors together is probably the hardest part of the fight, though you can probably get away with just dot kiting them to death long before Kael'thas activates.

The first 3 are exceedingly easy once the enrage timer is out of the picture. Don't let stone guards discourage you from trying the other 2 either-- while it's overall a joke of a fight there's a ton of stupid shit going on that can wipe you.

You must be letting them get heals. It's the staff I think? I can't remember but honestly you should be able to like swp them all and finish them off with a holy nova or 2 or some shit.

I was targeting the heals first but again, I kept getting shadow locked, I tried to kite but just wasn't making enough progress with DoTs alone. I tried the fight about six times before I was just too frustrated and gave up.

Pretty sure Stone Guard and Feng can be done without even trying

Without help from HoF/Terrace gear you'll be wiping quite a lot. Stoneguards might go down but Feng onwards in quite DPS intense without help from 496 stuff. (Only the top guilds had HC MSV down before terrace/hof) Saying that my guild had Stoneguards and Feng down before Sha or Empress so with some bosses down in HoF (first 3 atleast) You could prolly get some HC kills fine.

h msv is quite possible without hof/terrace gears, though my guild went as far as enchanting jade spirit/dancing steel etc on a blue weapon and 300 food for our first h garajal.

shin'ka with the gem in it is 400 str more than the sword, but my damage min/max and dps are showing higher on my character pane with the starshatter.

Normal Starshatter, the weapon damage trumps the extra strength. H Shin'ka > H Starshatter > N Shin'ka > N Starshatter > LFR Shin'ka > LFR Starshatter.
