so i just got my first 90, prot pally, and i really don't know what the fuck to do now. my ilvl is a shitty like 440, and LFR is minimum 476 i think? even if i geared up entirely with gear from heroic dungeons i'd only be at 463, so do i just have to do dailies until i'm exalted with a bunch of factions? kind of lost for what to do now.

edit: nevermind, minimum is 460, no clue where i saw 476 at, i like making shit up i guess

Other than heroics dungeons, scenario chests have a chance to drop 450/463/476's at a pretty decent rate. Getting Exalted with the Klaxxi and finishing the Dread Wastes quests rewards a 489 ring.

Capping VP isn't very hard if you do a scenario and a heroic each day, plus however many dailies you can stand. For faction valor items, Shieldwall's are 496, vs. 489 for the others. If you're trying to hit 460/470 for the LFR requirements and you have limited play time, I'd start dailies there.

use the gold you got from leveling and buy a full set of pvp blues. It'll get you directly into heroics. From there gear up with heroic gear then jump into LFR. Please read up on what a tank should do in each LFR boss, we had a partial wipe today from a tank facing a boss toward dps...(I know you wouldnt do something like that but it's good to read up).

Someone teach me how to Arcane Mage, I haven't seriously played my mage since ICC25. So far I got this:

Align Alter Time with as many CDs as possible, never use before Hero/BL
Refresh your 'bomb' dot, whatever that is
Arcane Blast till AM procs
Spend AM procs at ?? stacks
ABarr when, how often?

Basically which DPS would you prefer in a progressing 10man still in HOF/Terrace not ready for heroics yet.

damnit, i wish my group had a boomy; i have to harass people to find someone to give me spell haste, those assholes. Speaking of which, we're starting ToES today (new group, i think I'm the highest ilvl at 488), anything I should stress as we do this? We tried to do the protectors elite before, but simply didn't have the dps; only 2 of us were over 70k (me and spriest), so we're gonna shoot for normal mode. by lord, we have the heals for tsulong, and then the water skank is just execution and a gear check, no?

tsu long is also a DPS check, not just healing. lei shi is just execution and a little bit of healing check. On lei shi if you don't CC the add properly/quick enough, they're most likely gonna insta gib a healer or dps.

Is there a good Challenge Mode timer mod out that helps you measure attempts? Most useful to me would be something that lets you set Bronze/Silver/Gold thresholds and measures and records boss pull timers as well as time spent between bosses and just creates a browsable log of various attempts. A WoL-style parser would work just as fine as long as it's easy to use (i.e. logs can be analyzed in real time).

It worked! And apparently I can keep changing the race as many times as I want. I'm tired of Worgen for my Warrior, and now it'll be easier to choose a new race. The human female animations definitely look the best, but it looks the worst in armor against the male choices. Decisions... I'll probably end up human male again, but I'm trying to avoid it since I have/had so many.
