When we were doing normal sha (we completely ignore adds on heroic p1), the people killing adds are the ones that just came back with fearless buff from killing the crossbow guy, doesnt matter which dps.

the 5 people who get sent over to xbow guy will be the group killing adds when they come back, since they have fearless buff they're immune to fear and can stay out killing adds until the buff wear off, once the buff wear off they go back to DPS'ing sha. Of course this strat assume people arent idiots and able to dodge a few penetrating bolts.

My guild hasn't started progress on H Sha yet, but we've been able to ignore the adds on normal too. Just stay spread out on the platform and move from circles on the ground and you'll take no damage. Remember that Breath of Fear only applies its affect when it goes out, so you only need to be in the shielded area for a second and then you're free to spread out again.

yeah, Ignoring adds completely requires the raid to be extremely high DPS/geared though, like 500+ ilvl, I dont think this is the case with Abandon's group. Since once you hit that 14+ adds, it will be almost impossible to dodge bolts.

We 2-shot Sha about an hour ago, haha. Just had the right people show up. Tomorrow we'll slam our faces into wind lord (once we clear the others, of course), and I hope to see a token from Empress this week.

As a BM/WW Monk and a player with little PvP desire/skill, any tips for surviving Kotmugo/Silvershard?

Ideally I'd like to finish this quest before 5.2 hits, but from what I understand, Monk is in a pretty bad place in PvP, and having no PvP gear or experience I know I'm a liability.

Also, is it worth dropping 40 ilvls for the 450 Contender's set?

Just spam queue them until you get a team that is good enough and an opposing team bad enough that you win.

For just 2 wins I'd say keep your gold and hope for the best. If it'll really set you almost 40 ilvl lower, it probably won't make much of a difference, aside from a bit more survivability.

I found myself living much much longer with the contender's set than in my 483-496 pve epics when I was on that part of the quest. It's not even that much gold.

Yeah you should be able to get any full set for under 1k now, and probably still stay under 1k fully setting it up with cheap enchants and shit.

Hey, anyone use oQueue? Random question about it.

I've been using it, and recently decided to pick up my priest and get it to 90. Was queuing for 5-man dungeons with hubby while questing. OQueue would automatically switch my role on me (trying to queue dungeon as holy, but playing shadow while waiting and OQueue would automatically requeue us with me as dps). I tried the "go dark" to disable it, but it didn't seem to work.

It's not THAT huge an issue as I ended up disabling it in the character select screen, mostly just wondering if there was another way to stop that altogether as it's kinda an annoying feature.

So, now that I've dicked around on monk for awhile, working on getting my other classes up to 90.

Started on my hunter today and specc'd MM and BM.

I noticed MM doesn't really have a rotation yet. Any suggestions that people have about it?

My suggestion is to not go MM lol. There's no real reason to play it anymore...I did BM for questing and SV for dungeons. If I did it again I'd probably just stay SV the whole time though.

That's sad. MM has always been my favorite spec. ;_; I heard it was just a little under in dps so was going to try it out for awhile.

MM is more than just a little behind in dps. We recruited a hunter that did elite protectors with us and pulled ~70k. We asked why his dps was so low, so he switched to BM and pulled 91k. Just sayin'

I don't even know why I like it out of all of the specs. Always seems like the spec I enjoy is the one blizzard nerfs the most haha.

who you tellin? Demo lock is coming back in a big way; early number crunching says it'll overtake affliction to the point where it'll be stronger than affliction was in 5.1. Oh boy.

you know, lock is one of the few I never took high. Think that and rogue I've never gone past 20. Maybe that should be my MoP goal. I have not enjoyed monk as much as I wanted to.
