Once per week. Works just like bosses in LFR. They are now faction tagged, meaning if a group from your faction is fighting it, you can join in and get loots.

This is exactly why I left(read: got kicked from my guild recently, lol). Except we weren't pugging anyone, people just refused to learn fights. Even stuff that should have been on farm could cost us an entire night because of it. The guild I'm in now isn't stomping all over heroics or anything, but it's far and away better than the other, I'm cautiously expecting 2-3 bosses tonight though.
turns out my group is just stupid. Expect to roll the triceratops tonight and continue on. my entire server jokingly dubbed the trash before him the "the bullshit wind death boss", fuck that trash. lol
When in the level 50 range, is there any way to tell which BRD dungeon you get from the random queue? I've yet to see any indication of which you are joining as it doesn't tell you an objective anywhere, and they are the same loading screen. I never really cared before as I've always DPS'd through it, but I'm leveling a tank and knowing where to go to actually "complete" the dungeon and get the bag/bonus exp would be nice. I really hate this level range because of this dungeon in particular.
no idea. then again, ive ran through as dps or heals every time, lol. the one time i leveled a tank? DK, fuck BRD.
only thing i can think of is sprint down and kill the prison bitch and if you dont get a sack, then you are queued for upper lol. or ask if any of the other 4 people specifically queued for a particular portion of it
So I've been out of the game going on four years now. How are druids looking, between feral/balance? Really only looking to do 5-mans.
PvE-wise, based on raidbots.com balance is top 10 and feral a bit below the middle.
Does anyone have any experience with simcraft? Trying to figure out stat weights, and it's telling me to go with 0 expertise for hunter. I didn't think it was possible to fuck it up since you just click what you want then afk for a bit. I was just going to go ahead and make it equal my hit, but then when I enter my stat weights, things like MrRobot go all kinds of fucktarded, making me gem/enchant all kinds of wrong.
well, are you already exp-capped? (7.5% / 2550)
Are you using it properly/have the latest version from http://www.simulationcraft.org? How exactly did it tell you to go 0 expertise? I dont usually use the askmrrobot link that's in simcraft because I dont like it. I just take the values of the stats given by the sims, plug it in my reforger addon and run it separately.
For example the weigh simulationcraft produced on my affliction warlock is like this (fake/random number):
Intellect: 2.04
Haste: 0.68
Mastery: 1.30
Crit: 0.55
Hit: 1.98
You plug those numbers on reforgelite or something and you'll get your max dps stats for raiding.
As far as enchanting, you dont need some unreliable site like askmrrobot to tell you what to do, just look at the stat weighs and it should be obvious.
For gemming, if the value of a secondary stat is more than your primary stat, that means it's better to gem secondary gems rather than primary. For example, using the stat weights that I put above, mastery's total value is more than Intellect's, so in the case of prismatic socket and yellow socket you would choose to gem +320 mastery.
Because, if you see from the stat weigh above
+160 Int gem = 160x2.04 DPS= 326.4 DPS
+320 Mastery gem = 320x1.30 DPS = 416 DPS
also you can easily plug in the socket bonuses in there too if you wish.
first time using simcraft after you download it usually goes like this:
-Run simulationcraft.exe
-Go to Option Tab > Scaling > Check to analyze any stats that you want to be weigh, and only check the stats you need. (you can check everything but it will just take super long time to run/process the simulations, which I dont recommend)
-Go to Import Tab > Go to your toon's BNET page from simcraft
-Click Import once the bar on your bottom right screen is 100%
-Click Simulate once the bar on your bottom right screen is 100%
-Wait for result
-????
-Profit
I'll import my character from bnet, go to options/scaling and then check exp, hit, crit, haste, mastery and then I run the simulation. This is after making sure I have the most recent version of it.
What it spits out for me is something along the lines of:
Hit 3.41
Crit 1.73
Haste 1.71
Mastery 1.63
Expertise -0.00
As for askmrrobot, I heard it's good if you put it your own weights since it can help with minor small things, but at the moment though I seem to be best off with setting my stat priority in reforgelite, and going with what it gives me.
@Meph, yes I was already exp capped, but it would try to make me reforge completely out of it, dropping me to 3-4%. This only happened though when I got a trinket with a ton of exp on it, but it seems as if it tried to go too far in the other direction instead of getting me close to 7.5%
Edit: Was my fuck up that I hadn't reforged the trinket first to at least get my numbers close, before trying to refine them a bit?
Was Nalak unlocked with stage 3 Isle of Thunder today? Or is it another week of ignoring the place?
Another week of ignoring it
Anyone done stage 2 LFR yet? What's different on Maegara? Am I about to enter a raid where 20 idiots stand in breath attacks every pull?
How did they lower the coordination requirements on Ji-Kun? How obvious are the active nests in LFR? Are there still 2 active nests sometimes?
Random question, but... is there a way to macro a spell that requires a reticle to aim, to just cast on your target?
damnit. That would make destro so OP it's not even funny. I didn't re-gem, as I needed to haste and mastery form the gems, but i did reforge a lot of my haste into crit to reap the benefits of crits into burning embers and it is clear that it was the right move. I did an LFR for the second half of HoF to see how it would measure up, and when i tell you i crushed it, i beat the tanks by 80k dps and 76k, respectively, in the AoE phase. i'm not going to talk about Amber Shaper.
Speaking of Amber Shaper, do groups have issues with dps pulling aggro on the really big construct that comes out? I seem to be able to not only yank aggro, but if I so choose to give tanks a few secs to get cooldowns and whatever back, I can keep him on me and kite for easily half a minute, if not more with dps and my own defensive cooldowns.
Couple warlock questions. I haven't touched it since cataclysm.
Lock used to have a spell you could use out of combat to regain health and soulshards, but I'm not seeing it in my spellbook. Is it gone?
And is there any way to get soulshards back in combat? Beyond drain soul <25%?
That spell now is a passive, you regen shards automatically when out of combat. The only other way to get shards is from corruption ticks and when you kill something with drain soul.
