I'm sure my DPS isn't helped by wearing a lot of PVP gear lol. I really only do Galleon, Sha, and Oondasta then go back to killing Alliance. But I wondered where I stood since I have been thinking about trying LFR one of these days if I can get over my fear of mechanics.

PvP gear no longer hurts you aside from trinkets and weapon/offhand.

476 pvp gear is exactly like 476 pve gear would be. The resil and power are free bonuses.


Not true for weapons/offhand and trinkets, though, as they all give up a stat for a whole bunch of extra pvp power.

Yeah my weapon is PvP because the one I had before it was like ... 430 green. And I always keep my trinket on because Alli love to initiate WPvP and CC in this game has gotten beyond ridiculous.

Stat weights for healing specs isn't cut and dry like it is for many DPS specs. Ultimately it comes to having enough Spirit to maintain sufficient mana for heals throughout the fight, enough haste to be comfortable with the speed at which they land (and sometimes enough to hit the next tier of HoT ticks), and then crit/mastery to aid throughput.

It really depends on your healing style; which spells you use most frequently and your overall mana efficiency. Try a few things and see which works best for you.

Yeah, you can't get precision like that with stat weights for heals, you just have to align them as you prefer.

My hpal, which is like 480 now so just about where I'll start to lower spirit priority, but for me right now with reforgelite I just set the weights to:

INT 4
Spirit 3
Mastery 2
Haste 1
Crit 1


It does help to get haste around 2500 if you cast a lot of divine light or holy light, though.

Basically my group took a break a few months ago and I want to get back into raiding and maybe arena/rbg'ing again. I'm looking at my list of characters 80-85 and I have a Druid, Priest, Lock and Mage I could level. I've been playing as DPS forever and it's been a bitch finding a new home so I'm leaning towards priest or druid, thoughts?

I picked up the Klaxxi archaeology 463 weapons on my main. Can I get a second set with the same character, or do I need to do it on an alt?

tank or disc priest. unless you're geared to the teeth, that lock will be stuck in scrub groups forever. On my server, when a tank or heals shouts for a raiding guild, there is an all out brawl that breaks out. tons of dps, no fucknig tanks/heals.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than people realize to find dps that actually do the numbers they should.

is there a dps calculator? i feel like i'm not doing optimal dps as hunterd, although i do still have a fucking 463 weap, i don't think that will make up for the difference i think i'm missing

I just want to raid and to find a new guild quickly, so I figured healer would be better. Locks do seem in high demand now, and putting up good numbers has never been a problem - but it still seems riskier.

You could use Simcraft I suppose. Link armory and dps as well and someone here could probably assist

yeah with armory link I can use epeen bot to figure out how you're comparing with what you should be doing pretty easily

Well I've narrowed it down to my 85 priest or lock. Not sure if I'll find a guild faster as a healer or if I'll enjoy dpsing as one or the other. Haven't healed since TBC so I'm intrigued.
