I've never had a problem being good at classes. Got to 2400 on my lock in arenas and I hated the pet aspect of it, and was in a top 100 guild on it for a time, but I think I got really turned off by the pet aspect at that time. I hated when it bugged out... Though I can't really see why I stopped playing it then to be honest.

I was leaning more towards priest because healing means I'll find a guild faster, and me and my group of friends (1-3 people) might look for a guild together, but currently we're all dps. Me being a healer would help big time. Plus I haven't healed since early TBC, and having lost most interest in the game over the last 2 months, a major change like switching to healer might help... But with everyone saying lock, I'm not sure now. Honestly can't see why I really stopped playing it at this point.

They're both 85, so I'm gonna start monkey runs today or so on whichever I choose. Anyone ever do these? Is it the fastest way to 90 or does it cut off at a certain level?

For some reason, my menu bar is no longer showing up during pet battles. Anyone, by chance, know how to resolve this? I use bartender for my macro bars, but it used to be fine, and I haven't done anything to bartender's settings.

I started a prot pally the other day. 27 now, and every group i get, heals are all saying "god, you're so easy to heal" which leads me to ask, are other pally tanks simply not using the heals they have available to themselves to help the heals out? What are common problems you guys notice with pally tanks (so i know to avoid them)

I tend to discover in this game people who play Paladins (by extension, Shaman, Druid and Priests too, and I guess Monks as well) are narrow minded when it comes to abilities. If you are a DPS or Tank, or just not marked as a healer in general, you. do. not. EVER. heal yourself. Doing so is:

1. waste of dps
2. waste of an action to generate threat
3. wtf
4. not my job
5. HERP DERP
6. me, heal? fuck you i'm finding another group
7. won't res. I'M NOT HEALER SO FUCK YOU

Amongst other problems. I always loved the utility/vast array of spells as a paladin. Yet most people ignore it in favor of thinking they know better.

Before Holy Radiance got moved to Holy only in the old system, I used to use that whenever I was not able to do anything to help and I was surrounded by the raid (i.e. Ultraxion). Or use Word of Glory to heal my co-tank.

Some might say I'm losing DPS but to be fair back then unless I'm in DPS gear it was kind of hard to make my DPS matter so I didn't care -- not like we were going for heroic kills or anything lol

Heroic Ji-Kun 25 log. Prot pally(Syyllinen) is basically tied with healers, even beating a resto shaman.

Diff pally on Heroic Iron Qon 25. 20% of the healing done at 26mil.

Can go through WoL for normal modes too and see the same stuff.

We brought in a pug pally for some attempts at progression with tortos, and she came in #3 on heals, ahead of our OS resto shammy.

I think we have the mentality that a tanking Pally should heal himself because we all played FFXI and in that game healing was just another threat generation tool and something good Paladins did. I know that when I'm playing my Pally I heal myself a lot (drawing a blank, been up for 22 hours, wtf is the name of that holy power heal called ...) keeps me alive and able to manage tough fights that most classes can't solo. Honestly makes me wonder, when I'm 70, if I just enter a Heroic dungeon how far I'd get by DPsing where possible and just keeping myself alive.

it's not even the ffxi connection for me, it's simply (especially at my level) "sitting on capped holy power and nothing else to do with it.... why not" along with "this resto druid keeps swapping to kitty form to dps... welp, i dont feel like repairing anytime soon"

the latter is a pet peeve of mine already,as i'm more than doubling most dps in my group already, and i know that trend doesn't really go away for quite a while

I did feel a lot more ffxi-pally-like towards the end of vanilla when they nerfed AV npc's and from then all through tbc and wotlk it was all "aaaand ur gonna consecrate... and ur gonna heal yourself."

Hell that's how I made my money for epic riding when I got my first glad mount and didn't have epic riding lol. Made my 5k in a week farming the masses of shit on black temple steps.

But that does bring to mind an actual question, what level do you guys think I can solo BC heroics on a Prot Pally? I was thinking 80 but I'll try sooner if I think I can manage it.

Ok I know right now Disc is really strong, but its not going to last. Is holy at all strong right now, or do you think priest will still be decent after nerfs? Kind of second guessing choosing priest healer now and looking at druid again. Fuck I should just do lock.
