Any suggestions?
The raid lead and I already went over how to split hte group for each intermission. Anything I may need to warn the group about before we smash our faces against him for the next few weeks?
Do either your monk or shaman(monk preferred if their DPS is subpar) have a healing spec? Since your guild doesn't sound like it's much different from mine, we started two healing and ended up going to three and it just made it a breeze. We did diffusion chain(east) first, and then overcharge. So phase 1 we did: east > south > west and pushed him to intermission during the west conduit. Then after the intermission we went north > west > south and stayed at south until we pushed intermission.
As for splitting folks up, put your healers at like east/west or north/south if you stay two healing. Have the tanks take two platforms each in case adds spawn or they need to catch a bolt or something similar. Then just split up your DPS however you want really. Squishier people with a healer is generally the better way to go. I hear a lot of people just do a 3/3/3 split and have one tank worry about the 4th platform, but we didn't experiment with that any.
One of the biggest things is be liberal with healing during the intermissions, the damage going out in the regular phases is fairly insignificant compared to intermission damage. And definitely stress that people use their personal cooldowns on static shocks, that's likely going to be your biggest killer.
our shammy has a healing OS, but we'd be losing quite a bit of dps. she's not strong with dps, and i don't know if she's really done any healing as monk. We've carried her for all of the tier really, i think she honestly only has a spot because she's dating our guild lead. I've instructed the heals to stand near the edge of each corner and only go to the middle to stack, specifically to help with heals if needed.
Mixed them up, meant static shock, oops!
you were right, they killed more than anything else. never made it completely out of the first intermission. why couldn't i have made it into a guild with people that know what the fuck is going on =(
Hey, I have been playing WoW off and on since release and one thing I never got into was addons, I have been using the default UI since forever and only ever used DBM, Omen, and Recount.
I feel like I they would really help and even make the game a bit more fun. I find myself looking away from the action to look at my quickbars to check cooldowns a lot.
Are there any addons you would recommend? I am playing a Protection/Arms Warrior at the moment and want to get used to any addons I might use before I get to 90.
I like Bartender4 and one bag/one bank. I also use lui and they bundle a bunch of stuff in like fortexcist for buffs and cooldowns.
I'd actually recommend ElvUI. It's basically a replacement for the entire stock UI, looks better, action bars can be adjusted, and integrates well with the addons you listed. When I play my warrior I like to bring up my primary action bar higher so I can watch the fight and keep an eye on procs at the same time.
Anyone know a good addon for purging/dispelling buffs off a target. Using customized Elv UI from wowinterface and can't figure out how to make only debuffs I can remove show up or be bigger.
Anyone have a good bag sort addon? I used to use bagsort but it hasnt been updated since 5.2 which is before i quit
I use ElvUI as well. It is a huge upgrade from the default UI, and has a ton of customization options. The starting layout isn't terrible, either.
It also comes with bag sorting built into it.
I downloaded Elvui and spent the last hour or so messing around with the layout. Still looks to be a lot more to it.
I really need to get used to keybindings. I will probably slowly add new ones once I get used to them.
This changes everything!
This game dead to anyone else?
My friends still raid, but that's pretty much all they do. I can't even justify raiding any more as I see it as pointless as fuck and a huge time sink for a hollow achievement and loot that's simply a new model stat stick/armor. I stopped playing over 2 months ago but still have no urge to do anything at all in-game.
Maybe it's time to find something new. Here's also hoping FFXIV: ARR doesn't flop, I originally started MMOs with FFXI.
this only thing i truthfully read after "dead" was your sig
it is a great sig right?
was thinking of replacing it with a horse flipping pancakes gif tho
