222k dps at 528 is iono...maybe if you are 528 with a 4 set from normal ToT or at least a 2 set from SoO, otherwise that seems a bit nutso. maybe i'm just terrified at the prospect of apparently sucking if i'm not doing 200k dps in 2 more item levels

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, on most mobs I don't even come close to that, unless I get lucky procs on all of my enchants/spellthreads/trinkets at once which happens very rarely. I know that TI gear (which is what I'm wearing) has some weird stats on it which is why people lolTIgear, because I've gemmed, enchanted, and worked my rotation to maximize what I have and still apparently fail hard.

it's really really really really hard to get an accurate depiction of what gear people will have at a given ilvl 20+ lower than optimal, and those sims are definitely based on the bis gear for the given ilvl


the only one of those I'd say I've matched thus far (I'm at 549 now) on my frost mage was 522, and I'm starting to get close to the 553 at 549 with 4 piece

Wtf. Are frost mages really that good now? I haven't played since Cata and that seems shocking.

i cant say i buy that info at all. Until i land another trink, my demo lock is still rolling with the crit one from ToT, and the only thing with similar ilvl that regularly beats me are hunters; i curbstomp everything else in my range. that being said, most wow players are fucking idiots and dont know how to maximize their output. Case in point, took my 522 disc into a regular ToT and finished in top 3 dps first 2 bosses.

fire, arcane, and locks all can't be simmed worth a shit, but yes frost is actually pretty solid atm just nobody uses it cuz it sucks on aoe (which is just fucking weird)

I haven't played in like a month but Frost is/was pretty good, especially at lower item levels. At high gear levels (565-570+) both Arcane and Fire tends to out damage Frost, but it's not a huge difference on most fights (exceptions being stuff like Protectors, Galakras etc where Arcane gets obscene numbers due to cleave). A fight that comes to mind that Frost is great on is heroic Malk due to the adds giving you free FoF charges + Ice Lance cleave damage.

Can you guys comment on the status of rogues? I just resubbed and was going to order the expansion and take advantage of the level 90 boost thing. I'll likely be playing semi-casual with my girlfriend but maybe do some of the new lfr / flex raid stuff at some point as well.
