Played well Rogue holds its own as much as any melee class at this point. But really, just play what you enjoy. If you like rogue then play it. LFR doesn't matter what you are it's basically free loot, flex, just know the fights and don't mess up and you usually wont get bitched at.

rogue is great as always in pve, although I think they're a tiny bit weak in pvp, not sure

I'd be up for some flex stuff, though my WW monk is only geared in LFR gear.

Also rogues are decent in pvp if utilized how they always have been. Smoke bomb is great on FC maps and Temple. Stealth caps on AB/EoTS/Deepwind. You won't do much overall damage, but if you're good you'll benefit the team more then the fluff damage coming from most classes.

In Arena we focus rogues usually for most matches, since they usually run PMR it's rough, ive been globaled down by a rogue in smokebomb with shadowblades up, took me by surprise and didn't have time to trinket.

Rogues are the same as they always were, as classes got fun new visually exciting talents and abilities, rogues got nothing they are one of the least played class for this reason they lack flavour. just look at their lvl 90 talents one is a manditory passive for PVE thats only purpose is to fix the outdated combopoint system, its a QoL talent not a fun talent. They don't care about rogues as a class, They are just happy that the buttons they give them to press make them do competitive damage in a raid. And soon they will be the only class in the game to have an ability (backstab) with positional requirements, Blizzard is too stubbon, lazy and complacent with rogues to change them for the better any good ideas they had for them onceuponatime was given to monks.

While Anticipation is the default level 90 talent for all around utility, I've made use of all 3 talents in PvE content and enjoy the flexibility of being able to switch between them out of combat. Marked for Death is especially fun in add-intensive encounters. Shuriken Toss is indispensable in Challenge Modes where you spend 40-50% of your time running out of shit on the ground while still needing to contribute to the DPS.

But to answer your Question properly rogues are ok good deeps with good gear but very slow to play with less than good gear.

It seems like I'm in the mood for WoW again after taking a break for almost a year. Legendary-wise, I think I had just gotten to the point where I'm supposed to gather the first set of items from ToT. How much time would it take for me to finish the Legendary-questline at this point, roughly? I'm wondering if I can finish the whole process before WoD is released. I'd probably do Normal or Flex in addition to Raid Finder since I've never given those a try in MoP.

Edit: Gah, just realized I missed Children's Week by a little more than two weeks. Could have gotten my third achievement-pet this year, most unfortunate.

WoD isn't going to be released for a while, you should have plenty of time.

I finally got the Children's Week achievement, that was the last time I logged in actually. Been too busy to play lately.

Just hit 90 with my first character, a priest that I've only played holy in random dungeons, shadow when doing quests. Somebody should give me a rundown of what to do now.

Start the Legendary Cloak quest. Don't grind out the rep yet, you just need the sigils quest active.
Grind out a full set of 496 gear on Timeless Isle. Join a 'rep group' and grind on the cow mobs in the south or in the east, depending on the size of your group and their general competence. Stay within 20 yards of the berserker cow mobs you fight so you don't get charged. When you hit 50 lesser charms hearth to Shrine and get your 3 warforged seals. Fly back to Timeless Isle. Open up your Social tab, click 'Raids' and use the Looking for Raid tool to get into a celestials group. Use your bonus roll on the kill.
Grind out some valor in Heroic Scenarios while you queue for your first LFR/Flex group. Figure out which bosses drop weapons for you and bonus roll those kills. If you got a weapon, cap out your 1k Valor doing Heroic Scenarios and get the full 4/4 upgrade. If you didn't get a weapon, fly to this vendor and buy a 522 neck with the valor. Then try again next week for a weapon upgrade.
Beyond that do whatever you think is fun. This is just a quick and dirty 'get me out of these greens' guide. You will probably want a second trinket but the easiest one requires Honored with Shaohao so you will have to grind cows for a long time before you can buy one. You want a fuckton of Timeless Coins because you can buy charity 489 epic weapons at this vendor for 10k~20k

No flex will even think of taking him until he's at LEAST 530, particularly for 3/4. that being said, got invited to a flex 1 last night. first boss, druid died on first swirl, i solo healed the rest of the engagement with help from random shammies throwing out heals on blobs i couldn't reach with halo, penance and flash heal. all in all, hilariously fun

They're pretty lenient on heals though. 510-515 should be the floor most of the time.

I dunno, i started Flex 1 at 510 as a DK. Sure that means everyones dps stinks and fights take forever with more chances at wipes, but it's doable.

The typical requirements that I've seen have been:

Flex 1: 510
Flex 2: 520
Flex 3: 530
Flex 4: 540

Then again, I've also seen Flex 1's requiring 550.

Same here, gave it a try, but presently it seems like I don't feel like playing after all, just not in the mood for all the farming and everything. At least I could assume leadership of my guild since no one has logged in since May last year, allowing me to use the guild vault voucher I mistakenly bought with guild funds, missing the note about only guild leaders being able to use it.

I wonder if I'll ever be in the mood for MMORPGs again.

Personally I go through phases. Currently I'm not playing, not for lack of interest, but college and responsibility. I may play this weekend since I have Monday off but I'll have to see how I feel. I'll sometimes go for months without playing but come back and get obsessed all over again within a few hours.

Yeah, burning out on WoW again since all I have to do is pvp and honestly I find it not worth going for the pvp achievement's that i've always wanted to snag. Redownloaded TERA to fuck around as the new class and been playing Total War with a buddy.

Honestly not sure i'll ever do hardcore pve again in a MMO, I want to..but I dont want to put in the time or deal with idiots.

Last couple months I have been telling myself "Okay, going to go into this expansion casual and just enjoy it this time instead of going in hard and just regretting it" but today when I got home from work, loaded up MMO champ and saw the Mythic Paladin tier as well as those fucking challenge mode weapons. If that's even just a whats to come... I've already considered going back to raiding... but I don't know if I want too.

It can never be a "hobby" for me because I just take it too fucking seriously and get my self involved in a hardcore environment when in reality I have other things I should be doing and I get burnt out and end up leaving the guild. You would think I would learn from these experiences but it happens every expansion like fucking clock work. I'm my own worse enemy.
