Funny enough, I just finished building a new PC and installed Elvui. Is it another addon from them or something I need to turn on? It doesn't seem to show me anyones ilvl.

Okay, fresh Prot Pally with about 505k health and 492 (I think) ilevel, can't quite solo Kael'thas because of that dumb mage bitch and her gay ass disorient (can't kill her before the other fucks show up), need better gear or should I respec to Ret?

Have zero troubles on DK and Hunter of similar ilevel, so I'm guessing it's the DPS output for the Prot Pally that's the issue. Thoughts?

Might come back for 30 days, I have the following questions:

1. I insist it's a bad time to start new (and also, for me, return), especially with the stat/button squish. Hopefully my friend will "give up" before then lol (as he gets to 55/90) -- what do you guys think?
2. Heirlooms are cross realm right? I think they can be mailed using the syntax (server)-(name)? Or is that panel to generate heirlooms not in yet (I forget if it's a Draenor feature or what)
3. Toys. I remember seeing a feature/update on MMO Champ of a panel to store all your toys in. Is that in the game currently or is it a draenor feature, and is it account-wide? Or does each char have to obtain them.

Reason of question 2 and 3 is naturally, I have to play a horde char, rather than alliance. I don't feel like switching factions of course unless they're serious.

2. - Yes, it's truly account-wide for heirlooms and can be done cross-faction, as I mailed some of my alliance toons some Timeless gear. I don't have heirlooms but I know that it does work.
3. - Draenor feature, not yet in the game. Unsure about account-wide.

I don't have an answer for 1. The stat squish is just something I don't really love the idea of but I have to just dealwithit.jpg. Apparently they're going to squish everything so we can still do old content, so it shouldn't matter but people are going to see it as a nerf. If that's you, wait to WoD, then you won't know the difference.

Well for 1, i'd personally say it is indeed a pretty bad time to start new for pretty much the reasons you already listed since come WoD you're pretty much going to have to relearn your class.
2. Yep they are cross realm and cross faction using (Name)-(Server) and it will be a feature in WoD from what i remember yes.
3. Thats another feature of WoD so naturally it ain't in yet and as far as i know it works like the mount/pet UI and will automaticlly put all your toys and stuff in it come the pre-patch but not overly sure if it is indeed account-wide but you shouldn't need to obtain them as such.

As for doing Kael i'd say theres no harm trying it with ret, should have plenty healing to cover everything and just pop all CDs and burst the mage then naturally the engi since his stun can suck. Haven't tried it myself on pala since i already had ashes when i got it to 90 so best i can do to help im afraid, more gear definitely can't hurt but should be doable at that ilvl since im sure it was doable way back in cata.

Regarding Kael, given the massive stat boost now (I presume you're ilvl 500~), may it be worth to arm yourself with a PvP trinket?
So on Round 2 with mage, apply some damage (Dots if possible), the moment she screws you, pvp trinket out, and keep smashing her. Then if she screws you again, bubble out (I think that works?) and keep smashing in the 10 second window (unless bubble stops you from acting... I don't remember lol)

Problem is that Prot Pally is mostly unkillable but the DPS output is really low. With something that has as much CC as the fucking Kael encounter it's hard even if I blow all of my CDs. That's why I was thinking of switching to Ret because it would probably be better DPS.

I didn't think of getting a PvP trinket. I'll have to actually go do some PvP on that toon for some quick honor.

Hm, can you spec into Execution Sentence? Assuming the mage doesn't run too far away and the AoE range is large, drop one before she screws with you. By the time you break free after 2 or 3 screws it'll be up again. And then hope you can land a few melee hits to stack of Seal of Truth's DoT ...

Sounds painful overall, especially if the engineer guy is freezing you

Oh it hurts a lot. Execution Sentence is the first thing I cast when the mage rezzes and I bubble to keep her shit from getting me (at least the first time) but I just can't DPS her down before the other three assholes run to me from across the room. They also close the door to the encounter now so you can't run to the entrance of the raid. If I could, well, I wouldn't be having this issue at all.

Been spending some time running around Timeless to get some Burdens and hopefully better gear, but I don't really plan to do any actual raiding or anything with her, just fun to have another 90 for mount farming. She had no trouble with Onyxia and all of her adds, even though Onyxia casts a fear.

I mean literally she just dinged like 2 weeks ago. The drop rate is so fucking low on that shit I'll probably never see it anyway.

Oh they shut the door now O__O ... I see. Yeh I can see why you're struggling then, I was presuming you had a lot of distance so therefore you'd be able to shrug off a few conflgags. Well, hope you get it down!

I'd just do it ret, even if you lose like 100 item levels your DPS output is going to be way better, may still be worth it to use a pvp trinket at that level. You should easily be able to kill her before she even conflagrates you, but I haven't done it in forever so take that part with a grain of salt.
