So i've had a stupid number of JC BOP blue gem patterns drop for me in the last 24 hours. I've had 3 Meta gem patterns drop yesterday in the same area in 30 minutes , then had another today from Serpent Eye research that resulted in this pattern which is awesome :

My question is did they seriously up world drops in general on BOP patterns or am I just getting overly lucky..?

If I change from 10 man to 25 man to do a boss, I can't change it back to 10 man again? It keeps switching it back to 25 man when I enter.

Did the 25 Daily per day limit get changed recently? I did 30 of them yesterday and realized a little bit later I knew I couldn't do that just 1 year ago.

Also, what has changed as far as doing older raids is concerned that has made them supposedly a lot easier to do, and any other differences?

So... http://www.wowhead.com/item=45522 says it gives 1284 AP on proc. I looked at http://www.wowhead.com/item=50342 to compare since item squish, and it says 151, which is almost 10x. Then I looked at SoO trinkets and they give like 580 str, which is 1160. That's like, kinda good isn't it? I know it's proc on crit and stuff, but that almost doubles my current AP.

25 per day was removed at the beginning of MoP if I remember correctly.

And for old raids, they gave players a buff to damage to ensure that old raid soloing wouldn't go away with the item squish.

Which raid? ICC kept defaulting to 25H for me

I had to go out and manually switch it to 10N

I'll see if I can kill Lord Marrowgar on my 85 rogue on 25N and then switch to 10N for Deathwhisperer when I get home from work.

ICC. Someone IRL told me they needed like 5 people to do gunship on 25H and I was like, yeah no. So I was goin through ICC in 10man to do 25H LK and so I switched it to 25 for gunship and set it to heroic. 1 shot gunship solo obviously, went back out to set it back to 10man so I didn't have to take forever to finish, but it just wouldn't stay 10man. I would switch it, it would say legacy 10 man raid, then I would enter ICC and it would switch back to 25.

edit: i re-read what you said, and actually, as I skipped the green healing lizard encounter and went to kill LK25hc, I went back in to test, setting it to 10m normal

got in, it auto set to 25 heroic. i can set it to 25 normal though
zoned out, changed it to 10, normal
zoned in, 25 heroic

so yeh it looks like if you defeat an encounter in heroic it locks you to 25m
best for you to do now is to 25 normal it and hope you can cheese some of the mechanics (festergut, you can bubble off the 9 stacks of gas.... bloodqueen, you gotta DPS very very very fast)

So, I got some free game time after having some account problems, and decided to check the game out again. I haven't logged on since shortly after Cataclysm release, and I feel over-whelmed by Add-Ons. I never much liked them to begin with, and managing them seems to be a lot easier now, with the Curse Client, but individually customizing them is still such a bother. I know that there are add-on 'packs' out there, but they seem to have their own install/update processes separate from Curse, and they still have to be customized.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is if there's a 'best fit' sort of way to go, for add-ons, or is it just better to grind out learning how to configure the top 15ish or so, with a couple of specific ones for mount/pet collections/AH mods? Also, is there a mod out there that shows the major NPC locations, on the main map, or should I TomTom everywhere as I go around? I did a faction change to Horde, for Cataclysm, after years of Alliance, and never quite learned where things are and certainly don't remember now.

I think it's worth your time to customize everything to your liking and to what feels comfortable.

Pretty much this. When I came back recently I was completely out of touch with shit so I spent some time on youtube to find out about different mods and how they work. I had an idea what I wanted such as :

X-Perl ( or any unit frames)
Combo point/battle text
Map add on
auction house ( Auctionator is fucking win)
DBM
Bartender
AdiBags

And the rest is pretty much defendant on your class/role and preference of what you feel you need and want. I've never been a fan of package UI's as many times they have shit I don't even want or care for.
Taking a little time to watch videos and tutorials how to use some add ons were extremely helpful as well.

Addons are as addictive as alts, I swear every time I get on Curse I find something else that would be useful.

By the way, (and I'm not sure it was in this thread or another but meh) whoever linked me to FatbossTV on YouTube - thanks. Those guys are great.

Yep, love them. They do a great job of explaining encounters without sounding dull and putting you to sleep like some of the old tankspot vids used to do to me.

Ok stupid question. I cannot find titans grip or single-minded fury in my warrior spellbook or anything, is it just if I'm using whichever weaponx2 it's active or do I have to click something?

So i'm 95% sure i'd like to faction change to Alliance some point soon. I always play humans in whatever MMO i play and the Alliance Garrisons and architecture look so much damn better than Horde. I'm currently on Area-52 which is the highest pop Horde PVE server and was looking at either Stormrage or Lightbringer. My question is whether anyone could recommend more/better options or if anyone happens to be on those servers that knows any adult oriented guilds.
