What about motes? I was thinking of buying a bunch of cloth and making bags but that doesn't seem like a good idea with new, bigger bags coming out on thursday. I haven't looked to see how rare or how long they'll take to get though...

Bags are always a good way to make gold. I'm still doing quite well with Netherweave and Frostweave since I farm so much of it just playing the way I play. People will buy them.

How long is the pre WoD quest chain. Im fairly sure i only did the ones near the quest npc and then i had to kill some dudes that took over the castle.
should i bother doing it on both characters or just one

It's pretty simple and the rewards were fairly decent. If you're not wearing 520+ ilvl gear then do it, the whole line only takes about 15 minutes though.

If im a mistweaver monk, is it worth running garrosh a million times to get a 2 handed staff for bonus damage? they gave me a shitty 1 hander and i dont even own an offhand (which doesnt even add dps, just ilvl)

Somehow I got lucky and got into a heroic group on my 519 hunter. I wonder if I'll have the same type of luck when I get off of work with my 509 pally...

Anyone recommend a good dungeon to spam for tabard rep grind? I've been doing Utgarde Pinnacle mostly because it was recommended somewhere, but i can't help feel there are better options. Getting around 2k per clear.

Does anyone have a server for a Horde character that isn't fucking ridiculous?

I played on Illidan for a while and this is just not happening. The server is nearly crashing from all the people.

I want something middle of the road. Not empty, but not ridiculously full like this.

Well besides everything listed, i find it sketchy you've never had any issues on launch. I was on Kil'Jaeden, wife was on Zul'Jin and while this one has been very rough, to say there hasn't been any issues before is bullshit. Hell for Wrath they credited everyone three days due to how bad the launch was. Cataclysm was probably the only launch that was "smooth"

I can say from starting since launch which was HORRIBLE , on one of the original servers being Zul'Jin - yes it HAS been this bad before. I'm not saying you may have not had it that bad but many people did across many realms. I had friends all over through BC , WoTLK and Cata launches. None went smoothly - some yes were worse than others. BC I recall no one on Zul'Jin for at least a few hours could see any mobs spawn. Our sever was up and down at least 4 times in a 24 hour period when others remained up. I've seen it all and read it all and have had friends take the transfers thinking it would fix things. Some servers right now might be better but what happens is by doing so they in urn also get bogged down and ultimately you can find yourself on other servers without the ability to do content because of low population. It's a temporary fix just like this is a temporary issue. Sure it is frustrating and valid to be annoyed/upset but if you read the forums nearly every realm at one point or another is crashing or having lots of DC's. Pick your poison but I find patience is the best at this point and time.

The best thing to do honestly is play at off-peak hours if you can. It's prime time right now especially on the West Coast, but when I get back up in the morning most of the server's going to be asleep and the rest of them will be either at work or at school

Only thing I didn't play at Launch "technically" as in going into the new zones right away was MoP. Since I rolled monk for the 1st week and got to 90, by the time I got to the zones they were somewhat clear. Cataclysm launch was sketchy with the quests not giving exp for 15-20mins or so, but wasn't this bad. WoTLK I don't recall any issues other then questing type stuff and tons of people trying to get to a specific mob. Burning Crusade was a long time ago and I think I remember the servers needing to come down once or twice but queue wasn't this bad due to probably less subscriptions at that time? Who knows.

This launch is pretty rough, I would say this is just as bad as FFXIV's launch though i'm sure the queue shit will be sorted out faster due to resources available. But hey, at least we can stay in queue and not have to spam login...that's a plus.

For reference I played on Moon Guard which is super high pop full of furries.
