I just started playing the trial and I had like 6 silver until some big fate outside the buildings you go to before ironforge dropped me some gear in a box worth like 50 gold

So I npcd it and it only gave me 10 gold because trial, why was that level 10 gear so expensive? Lol

Looking for a group on Horde to get this, if possible. I'm only i700 though and likely caan't get to i710; does that exclude you from entering, the heroic zone?

I don't think there are ilevel requirements for PUGs, only when you queue, which you can't for Heroic anyway.

In the finder, where I make my groups each week anyway, there are ilvl requirements the raid leader can set. You will very likely not get invited to an H Arch PUG that low. You also can't see raids in the finder if it's required level is set above your own. But like I said for the guy above, I am capable of carrying someone low ilvl, I would just invite you outside of the finder system.

True, but isn't he alliance only? The guys I listed are running on the horde side if needed.

I ended up just paying for one because I have plenty of gold and it's hard for me to schedule shit in game. Saw someone offering, checked the price, and just paid. 15k was worth it to save me some hassle.

Does anyone have a good guide for "what to do before legion"? Things like what to do with the scrap iron i have, follower upgrades etc?

Unless you really want to upgrade the followers for achievements (if you haven't already) you may as well just sell that shit. They nerfed the fuck out of the gold you can get from them but there's no reason to keep them.
