I mean it's not just grinding mobs endlessly (that I've seen) but it's not fucking quick at all. At least we have plenty of time to get to revered for Pathfinder before 7.1.

I'm confused again. I just dinged 91 and now I have nothing in dungeon finder because my ilvl is too low to do warlords of draenor dungeons, the scenarios thing disappeared, I apparently cant do heroic dungeons anymore and I cant get my ilvl up to 500 without anything to do lol?
Wut am I supposed to be doing here, my ilvl is 425 with just random dungeon drops I dont have anything over 463
I didn't know there was an ilvl requirement for leveling dungeons. Can you queue for specific dungeons?
Or you could just quest for a bit (I mean yeah, leveling through Draenor sucks balls) and get enough greens/blues to get in? Or pony the gold to upgrade your heirlooms to 100 I guess.
I'm still overwhelmed jumping into the game at this point what the hell I'm supposed to be doing, I have my head stuck in xi/xiv where there was a main story you had to do no matter what level you are and this is just all over the place
I think I've gone into draenor at this point and im already getting quest rewards at 505 so I guess this is where I need to go
Oh I didn't realize you were new to the game. I kind of just assume that everyone who posts in this thread has been playing for a while.
oh nah, been playing 2 weeks and I did most of my leveling in legion things so I have no idea whats going on
If I recall correctly, you'll probably want to do the questing through Draenor and not the dungeons. I don't think there were any dungeon quests and the XP was pretty awful, but this was way back when the expansion first launched. I have no idea if that was updated since then, as I've just quested the rest of my toons. Leveling through Draenor on 12 toons sucked. I remember the questing experience being amazing the first time though, and it does go pretty quick. Plus there are treasures all around the zones, and the rare mobs.
Get the Handy Notes Draenor addon and it will highlight where all of the treasures are. There are some random junk items, but a lot of the stuff will be gear that can help you out quite a bit. You also get XP for each treasure you pick up which is pretty fucking nice.
Yeah, I leveled a Death Knight in Draenor after getting Pathfinder where 85% of my exp from 90-100 was from treasures and those Bonus Event things (like a year ago). Flying made it very fast and easy.
Just do quests and bonus objectives. Stop caring about ilvl and dungeons.
So, I'm getting slower and I have an hard time using Fury just because I end up spending most of the time looking at my skill buttons rather than the game - but I still prefer melee over ranged, so is there an "easier" class you'd suggest? I'm thinking something like Frost DKs, with about 3-4 skills in their core rotation.
I never tried Monk - so I'm wondering how does it play compared to War / DK?
Or should I just face it and roll a Hunter / Mage?
Monk is kinda like Rogue in a sense, where you build up points (for Rogue it's Combo Points and Monk it's Chi) to use for certain abilities. I've found that Monk has great mobility and great AoE utility, much better than some other classes. Plate classes to me all seem very stationary while a class like Monk can be constantly on the move. I've found Monk a lot of fun, just finished getting mine to 100 in invasions. DK is also always fun to play, I've enjoyed the changes to Unholy quite a bit. Warrior was kinda slow last expansion but I haven't touched it since Legion hit so I'm not sure how the changes have been to the class.
I forgot actually. When you run dungeons for the first time, you get a pretty nice set of bonus xp and the quests make it decent as well.
That being said, you'll probably outlevel the dungeon waiting for a queue.
How do I unlock the last 4 champions? I have no quests left in my Class Hall.
you get bonus xp every time you do a dungeon now, they changed that awhile ago. quests are a one and done but the chunk at the end is for every run
I'm stuck waiting for a 16 hour mission to see if it opens something new up.
Played pretty heavily back during BC/WotLK but sold my account to a friend and quit. Looks like they added bnet accounts since then and my account got merged in with his, and with mounts, achievements, etc all tied to his account there's no point in buying it back.
Should I grind up a character to get a feel for how the game is nowadays, or jump right in with a 100 boost? I don't think I'd be a mouth breathing potato in group content, but I also don't really want to be completely lost/unable to do anything. Is there anything important that you'd need from old content to get the most out of Legion?
