Its got to be 3 otherwise you're slowing down DPS too much and won't make rage timer. Having a ret is like half a healer so you might want to look in to that. Firebots only die if one decides to stray and get in our raid, they only wander where there is fire so you can generally be attentive and dodge the silence. Our mage goes arcane and does fire wrangling and slows the bomb bots. We also have our ranged tank LoS him with distracting shot up, otherwise he changes targets, to get him out to the outer ring/out of fire for the trap getting dropped.
Gotta be 3, you'll hit the self-Destruct timer like aforementioned. We also had a Ret for our kills, and a Prot Pally, so we had JoL/Wisdom.This is for the people who have done Firefighter on 10man. Do you use 3 or 4 healers? The damage coming out seems so intense and with 3 healers we still were manage to get P1 down very fast. Also, do you eat the water bombs in P2 or veer away from them and relocate onto the doused spot? And also in P3, do you have ranged killing bomb bots? We used to cheese it and have a pet take the hit while it was rooted but with all the doomfire I don't think we can do that. Lastly, do you leave the water bots out or kill them?
In P2 you want to move from water bombs, they hit for a lot.
In P3 we had a DK taunting the Bomb bots and eating them.
We opted to kill the Water bots in P4. We were burning through P3 so fast (2 drops) that we only had 2-3 Bots out in P4, and it wasn't enough fire removal to make the Silence worth it.
Obviously in between phases everyone should be together to make sure fire is limited to specific spots. Also in P2/P3 you want everyone in the same general area, when kiting in P3, you wait by an existing fire till new one spawns, then everyone moves together.
Also a good trick if you haven't found out yet is to have your MT Taunt the Head
before he leaves in P3. Going into P4 he'll have a ton of aggro, and he won't be shooting a ranged.
Here's our video we made, hope it helps you.
Thanks for the video, and thank you Dezz for the insight too.
Guess we'll switch it up a bit, I went elemental for it and we had 2 holy pallys and a priest. Guess that didn't make much sense outside of cooldown rotations. 1 of our pallys has an insane ret set so that should help. Also, our range is pretty amazing and our P3 will probably go by very fast. Thanks for that trick too with the taunt. Didn't think of that one.
We're giving it a good push next week, hopefully it'll be down. Seeing as how it's one of the last Hardmodes we have -__-
What meta gems should I use as a resto druid?
Has anyone succeeded in finding out yet what the changes to Siege Engines and Demolishers were? The change came the day after we did it in ten man, three days after we did it in twenty-five and two before we'll go in there with our alts. I've been following a few threads on EJ and have been able to find out that you can now grab Pyrite from 50 yards and that all the bugs are still present, but that's all, and the curiosity is killing me.
What's healing in WoW like?
Had WHM on FFXI, was my first 75 in fact and I just ended up hating it. Trying to decide what to level next and just can't decide. Just dinged my first 80 a few days ago, a rogue.
So, considering I don't really see the point in another melee dps, what do you all think I should go for next? ;3
druid, the answer is always druid
I played a DPS in FFXI fulltime, and I swapped to healer in WoW. I haven't changed my mainspec since I started.
I started playing WoW around spring 2006.
They change class dynamics a lot, and to be honest you need to be a LOT faster and have a better reaction as a healer than in FFXI. It makes it a lot more fun and actually exciting on some fights.
And you don't have to be a druid to have fun or be a good healer. You can roll any of them. The only mindless one at the moment is paladin because they are sort of pigeonholed into single target healing.
which addon is it that shows in bar form the duration of the debuffs you put on targets? Like the countdown on how long my diseases have before they expire?
edit: and reskinned cast bars for myself is its same addon.
Rogue -> Druid is fucking painful unless you level Balance.
My first capped class was also rogue and by far the most fun I had levelling a secondary toon was on a Warlock. The dynamics of managing a pet and throwing dots on everything in a zone while staying alive were pretty exciting, and different enough from melee dps that I didn't feel like I was doing the same thing all over.
Can you get Yogg Hard loot with only 3 keepers up?
I f'in love my restodruid.
I also f'in love my kittydruid.
<3
I did feral after rogue... was pretty easy, maybe easier.
Doing warrior now, I'm crazy.
Still not sure if I should be arms or fury, currently 41 with both boa swords and boa 2h axe all with crusader. Leveling alone now, not with a pally. It seems there is no question, Arms>Fury from 60-80, but from 41-60 I have no clue whats fastest. Best part is I don't have firstaid lol.
