Yeah pick up IUP. It's worth the 2 points. faster movement = faster leveling. You're going to respec at 80 for raiding most likely anyways.

Yeah I don't think I'm going to go with glyph of disease cause of how fast things die, don't think bone shield is all that great since I forget to use it all the time. So death grip seems pretty sweet since we pull multiple mobs and I do get alot of killing blows in the packs, seems like a good way to go.

Thanks for the help. Picked up pale horse and IUP and the rest will go In blood.

Most of my movement on dk is on flying mount getting somewhere or reg mount rounding things up to aoe down so I only ever use UP if it's something you can kill in 1 use of runes. ie you can burst it down really quick and the improved gcd is helpful. If the thing is alive after i use my runes I should just use blood.

Shit is situational of course, but I don't even know what I want in a particular situation (let's say pickup 10/25raid)

What gem/enchants are the best . I went all int/haste, but do I need spell power or crit?

What's the cap on haste, and do I need to reach it asap?

Secondly, what plugin I should use for healing. I have healbot/decursive atm.

Copy and pasted from the EJ guide.

Q: How should I gem my gear?
A: Short answer, Intellect. Long answer, use Rawr and decide for yourself.
The same goes for enchants, you gain crit from intellect anyways.

There is no cap on haste, stack as much as possible.

Healbot is a piece of shit, use Grid+Clique (which makes Decursive obsolete aswell).

I already read that guide, and the answer wasn't satisfying. I don't want to be told "what" to use, I want to be told "why" I should use this. It's very hard to take decision when you never tried the spec before.

How does it work. Stacking haste mean I can't gem int. If I gem int, my spell are slow as fuck. I understand I need to find a fair ground between both, but I have no idea what kind of haste I should aim for to react fast enough on boss fight.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere there is a soft cap around 50% (how much haste value is this?), but I have no idea what kind of "soft" it is, because the other one were rather brutal.

Using Rawr is nice, but it didn't help me much when I don't even know what I want.

And why is Healbot a piece of shit? What Grid/Clique add that isnt in healbot?

When I say stack as much haste as possible, i'm talking in terms of gear alone. The only other place you'll get haste is from food and other player's buffs. Good luck getting enough haste for 50% by the way, you'd need 1600 haste rating (not including buffs of course).

Healbot is a piece of shit because it's ugly, not very customisable and doesn't update as quick as Grid (in terms of health bars, not sure if this has changed)

I haven't personally played a Paladin so I can't tell you why Intellect is the best, just what I have seen other top end Paladins use.

This guide might help you out a bit:

Holy Paladin Guide - Part 1 General - Ensidia

I'm not sure which guide you read as there are several but this details why you should use each stat:

Really simple guide for Paladin healing:

    Int, int, and more int.

When haste is better than crit: when there's a gem slot so you can add more int.

When crit is better than haste: when there's a gem slot so you can add more int.

When mp5 is better than crit or haste: when there's a gem slot so you can add more int.

Haste cap for flash of light is about 670 (soft cap, you can cast faster but you can't get gcd lower. Haste cap for hl is impossible.

It's really that simple, if you're stuck between 2 pieces, take the one with better int. If neither has better int, the rest of the stats are virtually interchangeable, with mp5 probably coming out on top at this point.

Of course, this is all if you're doing hard shit. If you're doing heroics or whatnot, cap haste for fol then take whatever gives the most sp. Really doesn't even matter much, you could heal any heroic in quest greens if you got the skill.

    Why?

Because your job is to spam holy light on the tank as much as you possibly can. Sure, you can beacon and flash the raid or whatever the hell you want, but literally every other healer can do it better.

While that is mostly true, just remember that during AOE heavy fights you can heal the tank and the raid at the same time.

Beacon is for stuff like Patch, HGorm/Jorms, etc., where there's 2 tanks taking heavy damage.

It's not worth having pallies mess with raid healing unless they have to (or tank healing is a joke and raid healing is not, i.e. sapph, maly). Their capability to heal tanks is way too good, and everyone else's capability to heal the raid is way too much better.

Easy stuff, sure, mobs that hit for 20k and have 10k dot ticks, no. They're literally balanced around having paladins with massive mana pools spamming huge heals on them to an extent that nobody else can.

    Last question.

Is it okay to use cloth/leather if it's much better than your current plate? I would assume it is since other healer wear that kind of clothes and manage to survive, but maybe I'm missing something.

My opinion: An upgrade is an upgrade, but taking it over say, a clothie, is kinda dick. I roll on cloth only if no clothies present want it. Could be just me though.

If the item is a huge upgrade for you and a small upgrade for the cloth/leather wearers then roll on it. Otherwise just stick to Plate unless no one else is rolling. In terms of survivability it shouldn't matter which you use though.

simple answer: are you tanking stuff? if not, your armor doesn't matter

sadly, I still use the cloth bracers from VH in my heal set because the bracer gods hate me (still in halfass 213 tank bracers too /sigh), but I also use ulduar mail hands and toc mail belt blah blah, I don't take the shit over x class that can't wear better armor, but it's certainly fine to wear if it's what you have (or to buy in gdkp runs)

and uh... gaze has hit... no >.>

What exactly is a raid id, other than a number identifying the raid. Can you do anything with it, like enter the number somewhere and info about the raid is brought up.

    just an identifier

only real use is like if you pug and don't finish something, and later in the week you try to finish, "lfm xxx raid continuing from blah blah boss, raid ID 1111111"

Three more questions about Grid and clique. I tried both plugging and quite frankly, it's pretty much the same thing with up and down.

1- Is it possible to list the hp % as well. I find their notation really confusing at time. When you get something like "5.5 100 2 10.3", it can be hard to react quickly, because the largest number isn't the one with the most damage.
2- Also, is it possible to list the debuff next to the hp, instead of overwritting the hp. I'm glad to know they have a debuff, but it shouldnt be on top of the HP.
3- Clique is nice, but how can I access the party menu.

Not entirely sure what you mean but with the default settings Grid only displays the health deficit under a certain health %. Really though, if you're using your unit frames only to react you suck. Most damage is predictable and you should be casting before the damage is actually taken.

Enable Center Text 2 and make the icon smaller. You don't have to have it in the middle either, it can be in one of the corners (or sides with an extra plugin).

If you mean how do you disable Clique when you're not in a party/raid just go to Frames and disable target, player, pet etc. (which ones you need to disable depends on whether you use pitbull, xperl or default) If you don't mean that then I have no clue!
