What do you guys do when bored?

I left my high end raiding guild, and used to arena tons on the side, but after leaving and not having a team right now there really isn't much to do. I can care less for achieves or quests, so I'm usually left with leveling alts (which btw, I detest lol).

Currently leveling a DK with my sisters paladin at 68, but when she isn't around and we aren't leveling together there isn't much for me left to do. Should I be leveling one of my other alts? I do have a 64warrior (although seems strange to level both war and dk to 80) a 69hunter on another account that a friend gave me, or I suppose I could start a mage or warlock so I have a caster/ranged... but other than leveling which I mentioned I don't like doing, and only do when I have lots of time or nothing else to do, what do you guys do and/or suggest I do?

I could easily get into another high end guild on another server, but idk if I want to raid so much without my friends. Currently have a few RL friends on this server but we don't do much together anymore and they wont faction change with me, alliance sucks on this server so not many guilds/pros to pvp with. Maybe Xfer rogue to horde or something and play the DK/Alts with sister and friends? I'm tired of rogue in PVE if that helps.

I PvP a lot when I'm bored. Even world PvP. If I had more money, I'd collect mounts.

Why not try and do some arena with your RL friends? PVP'ing with friends is pretty enjoyable in general.

The one is a mage and isn't very good, the other is a warrior and already has a 3s. Arena with RL friends work sometimes, but I'm used to being 2300+ which they aren't, and it's hard to come down on friends the way you would with a normal team.

Yeah maybe I'll level something I just don't know what. The hunter is a nice high level but it's on a different account, while the mage would be starting from pretty low. Would be nice to have a non-melee though.

set up personal goals for yourself. I got my 100 mount achievement after people in my guild kept bitching about my good luck with mount drops. I randomly decided to farm up 100k gold, so i did that. (down to half that much, bah im too much of a shopper). Basically i'm set up for cataclysm pretty nicely. Once it hits any type of mounts like the 16k mammoth they may introduce i'm set up to buy on day 1.

How is mage to level? I want a caster, and it was either mage or lock... but I like mages in pvp better. Is there mana issues in PVE? One nice thing about warlock is lifetap, and I know it's nice while leveling, wondering if it hurts to level the mage.

mage was fun as hell to me. any time i got bored of questing, or i just happened by a good tight pack of mobs? AOE FUN TIME GO! There's nothing like pulling 10+ mobs and crushing them with a frost nova > blizzard fun time. Seriously, i fucking loved it.

I had 10x more fun levelling warlock to 80 than Mage, mostly for the increased survivability and solo capability.

Mage pretty much sucks until 40 for Ice barrier (you can't level as arcane as the spec is even more boring than early frost) but once you're there you are pretty much a CC god in PvP. Nothing is more annoying than a frost mage following their teams flag carrier. You CC them they can get out (ice block or blink), if you damage them you get everyone nova'd from shattered barrier and if you leave them alone they snare everyone anyway and polymorph people.

Hell just 2min ago I was in a BG, team was up 2-0 going for final cap, two rogues and a warlock on my druid FC, druid got away from warlock but had the DoT's, I nova'd one rogue and sheeped the other as DoT's killed the druid, picked up the flag and ran off to win the match.

Warlock gets amazing at 30, before then is no more or less fun than mage really. At 30 you can just walk around and DoT everything that moves and just keep running about doing it as everything dies around you...repeat until 80. I enjoy that playstyle quite a bit, heh. It's also pretty fun in BG's for training your LOS skills, boy do I confuse hunters when I DoT them and then run around a corner, they don't know what to do, heh.

With BoA's and BG exping leveling alts can be pretty fun because you can jump between questing, instances and BGing and be fairly well off for any. And really, why not do both? They use the same exact BoA gear (save I use my resil trinket on the warlock and haste trinket on my mage...ideally you'd just use two SP trinkets) and have two totally opposite playstyles. Pick them both up and go at it, when you play one more than the other the other will have rested exp to catch back up. Currently I'm leveling 9 alts, I play whatever I feel like playing and the others gather rested exp until I feel like playing them.

My lock alt is 25 from a RAF grant a level a while back, mage would be level 1.

Mage just is more appealing in PVP to me, especially since it's hard to find a great one for arenas. Thats why I was curious about mana issues cause I wondered the pve side of it as well.

Eh, mana issues aren't a big concern, sure you stop and drink every so often but you make your own, it's no big deal. And BoA's help that a ton, especially if you have two SP trinkets as they stack and you'll get 4% mana on a kill. AOE enough with Blizzard and you'll lose almost no mana, heh. I haven't taken the mana reduction talents (I have precision but not frost channeling) and I don't really feel like I have to stop a bunch, I'm used to it I suppose. The amazing AOEness of Blizzard makes up for it as I can kill 8 mobs at a time, if I have to drink after that...that's still faster than some other classes that must kill one at a time (priest, warrior, rogue, etc.)

once you get evocation theres very little downtime unless you fuck up and pull too much or take on too much. you drink alot, but it's not as bad as you might imagine.

Pulling too much is only an issue if they're ranged. No such thing as pulling too much as frost once you have a point in improved blizzard and shatter/frostbite. Ice Barrier makes it 10x better too.

So talking to one lock friend who has both leveled, he says lock. Talking to another lock friend, he says mage, but also says hed play both lol. Same as the post above. OH GOD 10 ALTS INC, which to do first >.>

Also, about mana issues, I mainly meant in PVE Raiding.

Not sure which one looks more fun raiding. Both do big numbers lols...

Heres a question... Anyone play a rogue? Preferably at a high arena and/or raiding tier? Which alt do you like the most, cause right now Im tired of rogue. And all 3 mage hunter and lock are appealing right now.

Don't touch either until cataclysm when you have redone zones to work in. Level your hunter who's already in BC areas.

Think its more a case of new shit to do and look at while you level rather than the same grind as its always been like it is now.
