    Jumpy Screen Issue

Ok I have a slightly old TV, but it shows TV and video games just fine. However I recently got a old ps1 game and whenever I play it the screen just gets really jumpy. It just goes up and down constantly and it's driving me nuts. Is this a ps2 problem? I know the game is fine because it was good when I saw it played somewhere else. Could it be a TV thing? Because I never saw anything like this before. :/ Any ideas?

if you have plugged other stuff in from the same inputs on the tv that you are using for the ps1 and they were fine it's not the tv's problem. do you use the ps1 to play other games? or whats your setup now vs normally?

It's a PS2. When it first loads, the PS2 whatever screen, its perfectly fine. But then when the PS1 title loads it just goes up and down constantly, like 6 times a second.

Edit: It's weird though, cause the big playstation logo shows up normally.

That's weird, the ps2 must have some problem playing that certain game

Is it jumping up and down a single pixel by any chance? I know a few games do that as a 'smoothing' feature to make text shimmer less on standard CRT displays (it cheats the interlacing), but it's usually an option you have to turn on manually.....

No it's everything on the screen. Tested other PS1 games and PS2 and they are both fine.

    sounds like a PAL/NTSC issue.
