Just got back from working 5:30 to 3pm. Crazy day. Had a line 30min before I opened. All buying my front page sale items, Wiis, and 360s. Im genuinely surprised I didn't sell any ps3s, at all. No one even asked about em. Considerably busier then last year. I was 3k shy of reaching last years sales when I had left @ 3, and we have 6hrs to go.

You work at a Gamestop right? I was on the same 5:30 to 3 shift today. by 2pm we were already flying over last years sales. once my roommate gets home I'm gonna find out what we got total for the day.

Also in the shitty Black Friday stories: 7 yr old girl has gone missing from a Christmas tree shop when I got out of work. Apparently she was last seen waving at cars outside of the store, and nothing since then. I want to hope that she was just in another store or something

The few places I went to this morning had police officers there. When we got the TVs last year, there were police officers too, as well as employees they hired to stand outside and regulate the lines.

so today was my first experience working in a big-box store for black friday, definitely gonna make sure it's the last as well. what a fucking mess, we got hammered with a tidal wave of people running into the department at 5am sharp, total chaos, nobody had been briefed on what we had in stock, etc..

on top of that, i was on floor duty for the first few hours, people on registers were supposed to give us credit for sales we lined up, which of course didn't happen on ~95% of those transactions, so I lost commission on about $8000 in sales. fuckin' awesome Q_Q

I didn't read that link, but from what I read on MSN about it, they both shot (and killed) each other. What makes it even stupider is that the fight started between their girlfriends/whatever and they had their kids there.
