    64 bit antivirus/firewall

    So, I get my fancy new computer, go to download Avira and Zone Alarm, and I'm informed by both that they can't be installed on a 64 bit system. Anybody got any ideas?

    AVG should would on x64 systems, though I think it still installs in 32 bit mode. Nod32 has a 64 bit installation package, but it's not free.

    Not sure why you're receiving that notification, to be honest. I'm on XP x64 and I use Avira.
