In case you missed it: everyone can be helped, some people just give up too easily. Quitters commit suicide, while others proceed to live shitty worthless won't amount to anything lives. That doesn't apply to everyone, but you get the just of it. Your empathy towards people you don't even know/haven't met in real life leads me to believe you are indeed an idiot. It's a sad story, but so is bambi's mother getting shot. Just because some reporter says this girl was e-bullied to suicide doesn't mean anything. For all we know this girl could be depressed because her parents took away her ipod or some shit.

Actually you stated it's a bit silly to think that everyone can get rid of their own problems on their own. First of all, responding no to what you said doesn't mean that everyone has to do it that way and no one else can get help from another person. How you deduced that I have no fucking idea. Second, stating everyone can be helped doesn't mean everyone needs help from someone else. Help can mean anything from another person to your own motivation.

You've obviously given up in the fight to make a decent argument because you know I'm right. I was never on your level, I am so much higher it's impossible to stoop down to where you are. Just from my personal experience of doctors trying to prescribe me antidepressants for unrelated problems, and the sheer number of highschool/college girls I've met on antidepressants, it would really surprise me if even a third of the diagnoses were legitimate.

So long ago when I was but a toddler I had serious depression issues. I was a 'agoraphobic'? It's basically people that are afraid to go outside. It wasn't severe, I just had horrible anxiety when I saw someone look at me. Not for any particular reason, I was not ugly, it was just mental bullshit. I took shit all the time from my family and I thought about killing myself a lot. Then I realized that being a fucking loser is pathetic and stupid. Really all you need is a mental slap in the face and you are fine. There was nothing wrong with this dumb bitch, she just needed some attention/friends. She needed to address her problems appropriately and not fret like a fucking idiot. People that say you should stop being a pussy because life's tough are 100% correct. If you think being a fucking teenager that doesn't exactly fit in with the cool kids is hard, wait til this dumb bitch gets older. She would've eventually killed herself because she's weak. Being an adult and being a kid are completely different worlds, and she couldn't handle being a kid. She definitely wouldn't have survived being an adult.

Just from my personal experience of doctors trying to prescribe me antidepressants for unrelated problems, and the sheer number of highschool/college girls I've met on antidepressants, it would really surprise me if even a third of the diagnoses were legitimate.

I would agree in the unnecessary overuse of medication to attempt to mask depression. Sometimes though it seems to legimately help people. However, I know personally of one case where someone I know actually became more depressed for an extended period while on the medication. It went far past the initial first few weeks adjustment period too.

My personal experience was that drugs usually only helped the people who literally have a chemical problem or imbalance in their brains. I could make the arguement that most people have problems with their brains though, so who knows for sure?
