hurrah- SE is currently investigating the logs from Salvage, Nyzul Isle assault and Sandworm BCNMs. Pending this investigation, actions may be taken against players who were found to have intentionally exploited the glitch regarding drop rates.
I really want to see how SE is gonna handle this, randomly ban or jail people or ban the more well players as a warnging to other's cause they know the hard core players will buy another account be right back playing lol.
Or just say it was bad and do nothing..."Next time people we ban but we did jack shit this time so enjoy"
Yeah, they probably wouldn't start banning right away, or at all, it's just the fact people assumed they were safe and their exploitation would have no repercussions..is what I found funny. The STF (once again) proved they aren't playing around with exploiting and RMT..so if it's handed off to the STF..some people are in trouble.
I dunno, I thought some of the points were rather interesting.
especially the points dealing with RMT&MMM, the expected difficulty rating of the mini-expansions, the consideration of physical hardware similar to wows account authentication, considering changes regarding level synch and skillup and that they're aware and considering the lack of good merit places.
And, one of my favourite points, while not adding much practical direct application (rather the opposite), I rather enjoyed:
- Armor obtained through Moblin Maze Mongers has been designed to be aesthetically pleasing, as opposed to being practical for leveling.
we can argue back and forth about the general levels of forums, but I thought this was one of the more interesting interviews to come out of the fanfest.
Yea I agree with you there. Alot thought they can't trace this it was to big and yea they prob can't trace everyone but it's enough that it sends a message or so I would think.
If they do take any actions it's more then likely gonna be the ones that abused the glitch that SE/STF is gonna target.
This made my day. If only for the paranoia some people will develope, this is worth. I'm glad the question was thrown.- SE is currently investigating the logs from Salvage, Nyzul Isle assault and Sandworm BCNMs. Pending this investigation, actions may be taken against players who were found to have intentionally exploited the glitch regarding drop rates.
And to this:
Ofcourse it's the expected answer. But if you look past that, you will find this:Originally Posted by Niki
I'm sure there is no need to explain any further my point.- Nothing is being planned to deal with botters/cheaters in Kings camps, mainly because the development team can’t currently prove when people are using certain types of illegal programs.
QQ more, please.
Seriously though while it would have been nice to have gotten more/better questions answered I'm satisfied with what we got out of it this year.
Maybe the endgame community will stop acting like they're the center of Vana'diel. I mean:
Do you need to have Ridills, Defending Rings, and Black Belts?
Do you need to defeat Absolute Virtue?
Do you need to defeat Pandemonium Warden?
Do you need to to get away with exploiting a glitch?
I really have no idea what your point is. It's wrong to be disappointed that you can't participate and/ or accomplish parts of the game? And it was a general notion, I didn't say it applied to me. I do, however, have the capacity to understand why some people might not like some of those things even if they don't apply to me. I certainly don't feel the need to be immature and belittle anybody.
