    Pre-Made PC, Need Opinion

Would this PC run FFXI at maximum performance? And is it a good deal?
Gateway DX4200-UB001A Refurbished Desktop PC - AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core, 6GB DDR2-667, 640GB SATA II, DVDRW-RAM-Labelflash, Gigabit LAN, Flash Reader, Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP1 RB-1015576R at TigerDirect.com

    Also how is this monitor?
    Newegg.com - LG W1952TQ-TF Black 19" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 10000:1DCR with HDCP Support - LCD Monitors

Thanks all, I'm mainly concerned with running FFXI at 29-30 FPS when possible (obviously excluding certain areas where it isn't possible; AH, etc.). Let me know if it will likely work out! <3

Also, if I decide to upgrade the GFX card, would it be much of a problem?

Not with oversampling, and, not especially, given the components and the fact that it's a Gateway. I have an Athlon e4850 and a 3450 in my living room PC...runs FFXI fine at 1920x1080, but that seems to be about the limit. Drawdistance, oversampling, etc not really possible without a noticeable performance hit.

Monitor seems like a decent TN panel, so if you're just using it for games n' video it's fine.

The system has a 300W PSU, so that could well be a factor if you decide to upgrade the GPU.

Eh it's okay, not great. Way more memory than you need to run anything these days, a low-to-mid range video card, and a processor that's a bit outdated. It's also a 64-bit OS, no idea how stable (or not) FFXI is on that.

    That monitor seems fine.

Is there a particular reason why you're not going to build your own?
