Kevin Smith might actually be a good choice now, if those suspensions hold through Sunday. If not, maybe Breaston but he's gonna have the only decent guy in the StL secondary covering what he'd be running

Hate PHI so much. I was with you the whole time until that damned tie...
Anyways, playoffs in one league starts next week and I've got easy decisions there without a doubt. However, in my cash league, they start next week and I'm fighting for my playoff life right now. Big issue I'm having is for a RB slot:
Frank Gore vs NYJ
or
Pierre Thomas vs ATL
or
Warrick Dunn @ CAR
Scoring: 1pt/20 Rushing Yards (1pt bonus @ 100), 1pt/20 Receiving Yards (1pt bonus @ 100), 1pt/Reception, 6pt TD, -1pt Fumble Lost
NYJ have a good rushing defense so that worries me, plus Gore hasn't seen the endzone in five weeks. Thomas seems to be getting most carries thus far and has gotten a TD 3 weeks in a row, but my worry is whether or not NO is going to start feeding Bush more. Dunn will get the touches but got no TDs last week, granted that was against TB and again I'm not sure how much TB may decide to let Williams cut in.
i believe its called the eliminator pool because you can only choose a team once. otherwise why has everyone else been allowed to continue playing?
I had potential teams charted out, but I would go in every week and adjust. Things change too much week to week. I mailed it in after I lost, could care less now, I don't even know who I have picked for the rest of the season.
I honestly don't get why ESPN does it like that. I was in a pool for work and it was one and done. I've been approaching the BG league the same way.
I think that's a "Suicide" pool, in common parlance. ESPN's Eliminator works slightly different -- it's most winners picked in a season.
Of course, if you pick winners the last four weeks, you'l be fine. Mess up, and it probably becomes a tie between you, three guys who picked the Redskins to beat the Rams in Week 6, and someone who picked the Lions in Week One.
For what its worth, here's the rather obscure tiebreaker:
"Among those entries in the tiebreaker with the most Winning Picks, the entrant whose selection for the last week of play scored the most points during its game that week is considered the winning entrant."
If multiple people have the same highest point totals amongst tied individuals in Week 17, go back to 16, try again, compare.
It really only matters for the Grand Prize, amongst all players with a perfect entry at the end of the season, of which there are currently 3,026.
TWAS I WHO PICKED THE LIONS
Man I need to pick them in the next few games lol, automatic loss.
Oh also, I need opinions on RBs for the week. It won't matter much on who I pick, but it's mostly just so it doesn't bother me as much over the weekend before final exams.
currently I've got
LT vs. Oakland
Steve Slaton @Green Bay, and
Thomas Jones @San Fransisco
Obviously they're all expected to do decently, but I don't know if LT can get another 70 yard run to make the 100 yard mark like last game, even though he does seem to love scoring TDs against Oakland including this season. TJ is the one currently sitting, because Slaton's been fairly hot the last few weeks as well, and I had to pick one to sit.
[blasphemy]
I'd sit LT
[/blasphemy]
I just hate that every time I sat him this year (vs. Jets and vs. Saints) he's blown up for a 20+ point game. That's the main reason I've been so hesitant to sit him D:
OK, BG East Playoffs are set.
1. Ochu Uno (Who is this?)
4. The Injured Reserves (Tyche)
2. Akiyama's Cakes (Akiyama)
3. Vade's Aggies (Vade)
Akiyama blew a 50 point lead he had over Ocho Uno in the final game and dropped from 1 to 2. That's cool, maybe we'll meet in the championship. Ocho Uno and vade both had a really solid season. I started out 2-5 and finished 6-1 to take the last playoff spot. Terrible luck with injuries killed me early, but picked it up after some fantastic moves.
In my only other league, I started out 1-5 and finished 5-1 to make the playoffs, where I've won my first playoff game this week. My first pick was Tom Brady, so I consider this a very successful season for this league.
How's the other BG leagues?
So I ended up started Romo, but it didn't even matter... the rest of my team except for my WRs choked and I lost to the 8th seed who had Brian Westbrook and Pierre Thomas.
Ouch. The Westbrook thing had a SLIGHT chance of happening but the Pierre Thomas beast mode thing sucks. He went the hell off against Atlanta![]()
I'd chalk that up to luck but that doesn't help the sting much.
2 weeks in a row I've had really good games, where I score enough points to where I should win, and the other guy puts up their only 120+ game of the season.
I'm Ocho Uno. Started out 1-3 in BG East, then won 5 straight, and lost in week 10 because I wasn't near a computer to put Forte in for Parker, who wasn't playing.![]()
