How much RAM is in your main PC?

I had to fix my boss' secretary's laptop a few weeks ago. She only had 256MB of RAM. I didnt even know you could still get that little.

Until about 2006 most of the Canadian banking websites did not work properly with FF/Mozilla in their online banking applications.

Sadly, the website that's being developed for a gov't project I'm working on does some weird formatting things in FF; clearly they've only optimized it for IE. I informed the IT firm we've contracted out that this really isn't acceptable in 2008 but they still haven't done anything to fix it. It's not a huge issue, mostly just graphics and fonts that don't display at a correct alignment, but for a government website that's pretty shitty. Oh well, I'm done on this project in a month when my employment term ends and it's not like I had authority to make them fix it anyway.

Pretty much this, I just happen to be Stateside instead. Only one I specifically saw my folks hassling me over was a banking site. It was like the first time I told them, "If shit doesn't seem to be working right, try loading it in IE." because I'm not some magic internet shaman. Actually, I take that back, streaming videos from Fancast.net seemed to give my dad problems, too.

I know in my own browsing, I'll find little stuff that's off here and there. I usually dismiss it as my add-ons, and sometimes you can click around and things are fine. Maybe the next time I find something really off I'll try to remember to come back and reference it.

But seriously, 99.9% of common websites work just fine or better in FF than IE.

2GB on xp. I have utorrent, a lot of firefox windows/tabs, firewall, winamp, etc. almost constantly running, and I don't see any slowdown on my side in the games I play. Don't see why I would need more.

In my experience FF works with everything except the sites that really need to work; schools, banks, pdf forms I need to print out...
