Yeah seriously debilitate makes the fight so much easier since Trumpeter has no weaknesses and debilitate takes down all 3 stats instead of having to go through 3 rounds of debuffing.

I also had a party of Yukiko/Yosuke/Teddie since my Chie was built wrong and I'm not a big fan of Naoto. Teddie for attack/defense statups and yosuke for evasion, and I had a sp -50% on Yukiko.

I did have to level a lot for the final boss though, I believe I was around level 83 when I finally beat her second form. When I was lower, I wasted most of my sp on the first round and by the time I hit the 2nd form I was out of SP and just struggling to stay alive. And so I crafted a Trumpeter with mediaharan and leveled him up for debilitate and heat riser, made the fight 10 times easier.

That's why i said I need to rework on my setup. I fused everything before going in and ended up with no persona with "def up"/atk down spell. I would have been fine otherwise.

Chie did the most damages using charge and God's hand (600 every 2 rounds), MC and Naoto were useless, and Yuki was spamming Mediaran every round. Probably gonna swap Naoto with Yosuke next time, since death spell are useless on boss, and Megidolan isn't doing good here (300dmg/2 round).

SP was fine, and I have like 5 soma avaible (full cure+sp), but once I ran out of revive items, I couldnt raise Yuki at all. Not that it matter because the boss one shotted me right after. Anyway, it doesnt seem too bad, pretty sure I will get it down on my 2nd try.

You have BOTH Chie and Naoto in the party? Yosuke really needs to be in there.

But he doesn't have boobies. Why would I put him in the party?

Like I said, I was swapping them out one by one. It just happened to land on this setup for the final dungeon. What's so great about Yosuke anyway? He is powerful, but Chie is generally doing as much damage, if not more. Acc/eva up move is nice I guess, but I still have 15 super sonic for this, which is more than I need for one boss fight.

Masakukaja and Garudyne was good enough for me. Having both Naoto and Chie in there is useless.

I never said Naoto + Chie was the best choice for the final boss, but I had no clue what kind of fight I was getting into before trying it. I was expecting the final boss to dispel your buff constantly, and use various spell immunity like they were doing in Persona 3. In this scenario, Naoto would have been better (even more since she is 10 level ahead because of the last dungeon.)

In normal encounter, Naoto is my favorite character. Almost every fight end after 1 attack. Because the MC had magarudyne and maziodyne, I kept chie around for the dungeon instead of Yosuke.

Anyway, about to go in again. Gonna give up on lucifer, because leveling is getting awfully slow.

I had a final party of Chie, Naoto, and Yukiko...was nearly unstoppable.

Naoto is limited in boss fights yes, but a mind charged Megidolaon (however its spelled) on a debilitated target is still nice damage output. Yukiko and Soji on healing/support, Chie doing power charged god hands or Agnastraya = dead targets.

I preferred a Naoto/Yosuke/Yukiko setup, but obviously every combo will work.. it all depends on what you do with the MC.

I'm sure it's possible to beat the final boss with Kanji/Chie/Naoto or Kanji/Chie/Teddie too.

Finally beat the boss... I would have been fine with a "def up" and "atk down", debilate was just overkill. I brought Yosuke, but he wasn't doing much this time at lv 72 (Around 200 per round) compared to the lv84s. Chie pretty much did all the works again with God's Hand.

Anyway, is it bad that I didn't understood the symbolism behind the glasses until the very end, when the MC toss them? I know they were used to see through the fog, but the whole "see the truth" thing kinda went over my head.

I could bitch about minor details here and there, but in overall, the game was great. The ending wasn't as good as P3's imo, but it doesn't really matter, there was still many improvement in differents aspect, and the plot and character were awesome.

I'm not sure why Chie and Naoto in a party is a bad thing. They don't exactly intersect roles.

Final boss was a cakewalk at 75 with MC/Yukiko/Naoto/Chie.

Yukiko spams Mediarahan, Chie uses charged God Hand, MC debuffs and charges God Hand between debuffs, Naoto spams Megidolaon, boss went down without much of a hitch. Had to make sure to guard at the right times to prevent having the MC one shotted by AE spells, but that was about it. (Expert mode of course)

My final party right now is Chie/Yosuke/Yukiko. Chie and Yosuke rape the normal shadows with God's Hand/Agne+Brave Blade/Magarudyne. I never really found a use for Naoto because the Almighty spells take too much SP, and the dmg to SP ratio is better with Yosuke's Garudyne spells after he gets Wind Amp. Yukiko is just there to heal of course.

Forgot to mention I beat this a while ago. Um that last "twist" at the end sorta felt like they were really stretching it, I mean it was alright but they could have just ended it right after Ameno-Sagiri lol.

It could have ended after ameno-Saigiri, but I don't think it would be for the best. There was a many loose ends left at this point.

The ending itself was kinda lame (compared to p3), and they could have used more dialogue in the final dungeon, but in overall, I liked the final day.
