Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

Ok, ive hit a small roadblock.

Im about 2 social links from having all maxed, and im in december. Unfortunately, I just realized Naoto's Fortune Arcana is one of the ones not maxed, and for my second cycle i REALLY wanted Izanami-no-okami as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if the guide is correct ill end first cycle with Naoto at lvl 9...and unable to get the key item to fuse Norn to eventually fuse Izanami-no-okami.

Is there any way for me to cheat just a little, and load the key item through a gameshark or something without having the gameshark? Im playing on a PS3, and im curious if theres a 2nd cycle save i can download and run on the PS3 that would let me do this, or if ill have to find a PS2 gameshark and see what i can do from there.

I just finished the Void Quest dungeon, it wasn't really too bad. Playing on Expert mode, about 45 hours in. I am really wondering if they are going to do a time skip like P3. I heard this game is longer than P3 so I am assuming it's because it has no time skip.

I'm @ 37 hrs. and about to begin the "Retro" dungeon. So far the story is interesting enough to keep me playing, characters are all right as well as the S.L.

And don't forget to cap your party social link before november or you won't get everyone 2nd persona (piss me off, Kanji is blocked at lv 8 now...I wanted to see his final persona). Might want to cap dojima/nanako as fast as you can too.

What do you mean party s.link? I maxed Yukiko's s.link and got her 2nd form of Ametarasu so I am assuming you aren't talking about maxing out the corresponding s.link that involves the investigation group.. and you mean to max out my normal party members s.link?

I use Yukiko, Chie, and Brosuke.

When you hit max level on a Social Link of a party member, their persona evolves and they drop their elemental weakness (although Yukiko and Teddie do keep their weaknesses..)

If Yukiko/Chie/Yosuke is your main party (and it should be tbh, maybe Naoto for Chie but yeah..) then max them out before November because there's no time to work with SLs past a certain point, and you will need those elemental weaknesses gone (Yukiko being the only one with a weakness is very easy to manage)..

Ah, I didn't know about their weaknesses gone as soon as they max out. But anyways, I kept my original party: Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko.

Eh, Naoto is awesome. Almost everything in Heaven is weak to darkness/light, and you will rape through the place with those spells. I usually do a rotation with one of the original 3 when I can.

Capping Rise S.Link is semi useful too, she get some nice ability with it.

Kanji and Teddy aren't bad (I leveled them to 60), but why bother...I hate fighting with a mascot, and Kanji is my least favorite character of the bunch (the way he always yell for stupid reason is awkward).


Btw, I take back everything bad I said about Teddy early. I usually hate mascot, but he turned out to be much better than I expected. He can be annoying at time, but his retarded joke are hilarious. The contest in the festival was the best. The "fuzzy logic" line also made me rofl...I didnt see that one comming

I'm currently in [what I think is ] the final dungeon. Everything up to this point was great, but the villain's attitude is annoying me kinda. I was expecting a "I have no reason" excuses...but his personality changed more than I wanted. The way he killed both victims was kinda lame too.

That's because this dungeon is only for the 'good ending', not the 'true ending'... There's 1 more dungeon, and 1 more boss (makes Nyx look like a joke if you're not leveled high enough..)

Nothing really... playing CoD5 when I have some free time, either team deathmatch or just solo Veteran campaign.

I knew there was another boss fight later, but I didnt know there another dungeon. Anyway, it was just a minor complain. The game is still great.

Except for the Battle theme...fuck it... It's driving me insane, especially when I afk to go to the pc and let it run in the background.

Which battle theme? I thought all 5 boss themes were amazing. The normal battle theme is a bit meh, but still better than P3's.

Another question, do you fight a Shadow of the main character? In Persona 2 IS you actually meet and fight the shadow of the MC in that game and it really ended up being interesting since you don't know anything about his background. I was hoping they would do the same with this game.

Normal one. Boss's theme is good, and don't play often enough to annoy me.

I loved how you discover the final boss (in march). It's almost ridiculous, but it works just fine in this game. I seriously didn't see that one comming, even if I knew there was something else after.

Did you fight her yet? The first form's boss theme (The Fog) is stellar. Nyx's battle theme is nothing compared to it, and I loved The Battle For Everyone's Souls.

Nah, I'm slowly climbing the last tower, I kinda want to get lucifer before completing the game.

My current persona is immune to everything (except light/darkness) and got some nice spell. It would probably do the job just fine, but w/e.

Craft a Trumpeter. Heat Riser on MC and Chie/Naoto & Debilitate on the boss = easy win.

Eh lol...just got rapped on the 2nd form in 1 round. It did like 900dmg to everyone, followed by another skill that finished me. I'm lv 80 right now.

Gonna have to reworks my setup a bit, and buy more revive item (I only had 5 for the first part)

Music was fine, but I prefer the normal boss battle track. Nyx's track is still my favorite between both.

Did you not use Debilitate and/or other stats raising spells?

I didn't bother with heat riser since my MC was doing the bulk of the damage and using 1 turn for debilitate was enough for him.
