    Which jobs would you like to see added to FFXI?

    Guess this goes here if not move it as you wish.
    From reading in advance looks like people would ok with a new job class Chemist. Sounds like it would workable in the game if they did it right, also make throwing a worthwell skill beyond sky and tossing winds at gods.
    Throw a potion and lower def for a set amount of time. Use another item and pt's att or acc goes up, hell maybe even something for ws acc.
    But what other job classes would you like to see added or even new weapons?
    Be it useful for end game or something for fun IE Dcn.
    What are your thoughts?

    I have always thought Chemist would be a great additon to this game. From day 1 I noticed how Items are not used the way they should be. A Chemist could revamp the item system making it more usefull by having such job traits as 'Item potiency' where it doubles the effect of said item, or being able to use item on other members. Hell, Phoenix Down anyone?!?

    Plus the job class could revamp the Alchemy crafting as well since meds would be in such high demand.

    a job that uses holy / divine damage as it's main source of damage would make me wanna play again honestly..

    something like bishop or something, get banish spells sooner than whm, up to tier 5, and banishga type spells up to t4, holy I / II, some kind of e-seal type skill that applies to divine magic, flash, and lower class healing ability (the wouldn't be meant to heal, but deal a constant amount of divine damage)

    so bishop would have

    B staff skill
    C club skill
    E shield skill
    A+ divine magic
    C healing magic

    cure 1,2,3
    banish 1,2,3,4,5
    banishga 1,2,3,4
    holy 1 / 2 (t2 is like, holy ancient magic, long casting time, but improved acc/ high amount of damage, like a t2 ancient magic
    regen 1
    repose
    reposega
    flash 1/2 (flash 2 is similiar to flash 1, but with much less enmity generation)
    bane 1,2,3 (light DOT, similiar to helix damage, but t3 is much much higher)
    basic -na spells (poisona, paralyna, silena, blindna only)
    conserve mp up to t5 conserve mp (25% ~ 5% ~ 5% ~ 5% ~ 5% total 45% conserve mp base at 75)
    clear mind up to whatever sch has i guess too

    2 hour: repentance, returns full mp pool instantly, but after 1 minute mp is reset to 25% of base, regardless of where it is at that moment, and an macc boost of around 5%-10% is given for 2 minutes

    holy seal (divine magic seal)

    bane blessing (similiar to MAB, but increases macc by 2% each tier, 5 tiers so at 75 you'd have w/e blm's +mab inheritly is, and and +10% macc for divine spells)

    yay just made whm feel even worse, banish and repose aren't super special anymore lololol
    to make whm feel better just give them a support ability that gives them like -10 enmity per tier and make it 3 tiers so whms have -30 enmity base at 75 so they can focus more on healing or something idk, haven't played in a while but thought this would be coooooooooooooooooool =)

    I've always liked the geomancer/elementalist classes, but I don't think that I'll ever see them in this game, scholar is probably as close as they're gonne get.

    although this is probably will never happen, i'd rather see SE add "advanced jobs" that allows u to upgrade

    for example:

    Warrior-> Gladiator?
    White Mage -> White Wizard?
    Black Mage -> Black Wizard?
    Thief->Rogue?
    Samurai->Shogun?
    Ranger->Sniper?
    etc..

    can do some sort of quest that allows you to upgrade the job, but will make you start from lv1 again, however with 30% more HP/MP stat, new ability etc.

    But really if they made Chemist it would probably wouldn't be tied to already created crafts, I would see it as the Anti-Ninja, Mostly Buff/Healing spells that uses consumables to use.

    I would like to see a job that focuses on enhancing magic (ie. A+ skill) I thought this could work with Time Mage giving it all kinds of "over time" spells like Regen and elemental dots. But it seems that idea kinda became SCH

    I wouldn't upgrade that. As for what job I would like to see added, I always liked the look of Berserker but I really can't think of a way they could make it work considering it was under berserk 24/7 and berserk is already war ja

    banish spells have it bad already, they have horrible recast times (worse then their elemental spell counter parts) have worse dmg/mp ratio even if you remove the MAB bonus nearly any elemental user will have. Or in reverse if you go whm/blm with MAB the dmg/mp spent is still terrible vs elemental magic

    the only time it's even comparable is against undead... so vs undead you're dmg/mp spent is about the same as any other tier III but you're worse vs everything else. And you only get one element with it's recast where the elemental users have 6 spells to cycle

    Chemist as a tool healer was one of the only things I considered that might be interesting when people were speculating over (I think) the DNC and SCH spots.

    We kind of have advanced jobs and they just require you to get to level 30 to unlock and then you start from level 1 with it. Only reason FF1 had advanced jobs because there were so few.

    Mystic Knight with Tier 2 3 and 4 enspells. Maybe not tier 4 but just don't want them to suck dick like rdm's enspell.

    Or maybe turn them into a tank with paladin comparability shield skill, a hate JA, and unique debuff enspells like en attack down or en intimidate as well as the enslow en paralyze en drain.

    Hell endrain, paladin shield skill comparable, and a hate JA or two might actually not be a bad idea to make a hybrid DD Tank, like ninja.

    edit : Yea two 15 second JA's on the same timer that gives 1000 VE and 100 CE and one that gives 100 VE and 1000 CE (need's some scaling but that's a good principle to start on)

    If SE did this would say Gladiator be 75 for lvl cap and since it's a upgrade of War would War merits carry over to it or no, plus what new merits/ja's would they get?
    Kinda like the idea of that.
