    Saw necromancer, thought it would be cool.

    Give them the JA at lv 1, recast of 30 secs, Re-Animate.

    Use it on mob with >1% HP, instakills them, no exp bonus, but then recreates them with a grey tinge as a perma pet.

    Downside: They have only 50% the hp of original mob, and have a permanent poisen effect, thus they slowly die.

    Pros: They don't take damage, but have low hate so it's hard to make them tank for you. Though they are extremly weak to magic damage, specificly fire D:

    Abilities:

    lv 10, artificial intelligence

    Grants your undead faster attacks and smarter moves, possibly WSs

    lv 25: Preservation

    slows the poisen effect oon zombie by 1 tick

    lv 40: ZERG RUSH/ assualt

    Make sthe zombie attack much faster and stronger, at an increase of 3 ticks to the poisen.

    Level 50: Spawn

    Allows you to summon undead creatures similiar to the beastmasters call pet, but much more animated ones, like ghosts and skellies.

    Level 60: Renew (whatever)

    Regenerates 50% of your zombies HP

    Two hour: Arise

    Instantly grants you reraise with 0 exp loss. Also tremendously icnreases your zombies stats, and entirely removes the poisen effect while 2 hour is active.

    Instead of adding jobs, SE should focus on customization on the jobs already around. Playing WAR should be the same as playing two or three jobs. That way we get 20-40 new jobs instead of 3.

    Wow, that necromancer thing is actually pretty well thought, probably the best idea i've seen and probably the only I didn't thought "cool, but never gonna happen".

    I like that Necromancer idea.

    Mostly I'd just like to see some new type of unique tank job, although I have no real ideas. D:

    Edit: That Heretic idea actually looks pretty cool.

    I also made a pretty nice design for a chemist that I ran by people in the LS who really really liked it, I think chemist fits ffxi the best, not many jobs left though, I wish they would roll out super advanced jobs like this, give them exclusive levels and abilities, no subjob support but the ability to use new merits which affect them, like merited double attack, dual wield, etc

    That'd mean deeper overhauling into the entire job ability/spell system, which are a lot fucking harder than tossing 1-2 job that just implement a system that could have been added to an existing set of jobs (ohisch)

    Oh yeah, Idea for a new tank: Runic Knight

    Mainly it's focus will be mitigating magic damage, mDEF traits, Greatsword A/A+, High VE JAs that maybe mitigate magic dmg in some way, maybe a Sentinel for Magic. 2hr Runic- Absorbs magic cast on you into MP for 30 seconds (Something more than an Invincible for magic just cause physical damage occurs more often than magic so needs a little more to be balanced). Obviously it wouldn't be the tank everything tank that PLD is but would be good on high magic mobs (JoL, Sarameya (sp?), ect.)

    I'd like a tank/support job, that would make use of SC/nukes to hold hate, and tank differently from nin/pld something like..:

    Mystic Knight

    Great Sword A- (because it's no other job's main weapon, and other tanks don't 2hand)
    Great Katana C+ (for skillchain purpose)
    Enhancing magic A+
    Evasion E
    Parry B-

    Job Traits:

    lvl10 Elemental resistance I: +20 to all elemental resistance
    lvl20 Spell Bound I: Increase duration of buff spells (not ability) by 20% (any buff spell cast on you gets bonus, but doesn't increase your pt member's duration if you cast on them)
    lvl30 Elemental resistance II: additional +20 resist
    lvl40: Enhance Skill Chain: If you close a SC, any following mage doing a MB will get 50% of the mp required for the spell back.
    lvl50: Spell Bound II: additional +20% duration
    lvl70 Elemental resistance III: addional +20 resist

    Job Abilities:

    lvl1 Enhancing Frenzy: last 30sec, 2 hour cooldown. Double potency of buffs cast on yourself, but halves their duration.

    lvl10 Ethereal Form: Last 5min, 1min cooldown. Converts physical damage taken into magical damage, kinda like a reverse formless strikes. The magic damage type would depend on the type of crystal the mob drops (would specify one if it doesn't drop any like dyna demons = dark dmg etc). Does not work on mob's WS, even if it's a physical one. This is how a mystic knight would tank, by getting lots of +resist/-magic dmg taken from trait/barspell/carol etc., and wouldn't really need shadows.

    lvl25 Elemental Blade: Last 30sec, 1min cooldown. Allow one of your pt/ally member to cast a nuke on your weapon, the damage/accuracy depends on the mage, but all the enmity is gained by the mystic knight. Also grants +15% dmg/acc to the spell.

    lvl40 Finisher: Last 30sec, 1min cooldown. If your next WS creates a SC, the dmg of the SC will be based on the previous WS used, also enhance the SC accuracy/damage. So let's say a sam do a big ws you could use Finisher and follow up with a compatible ws, doesn't matter if it's a weak one as the damage of the SC would be based on the SAM's one, and you would get all the SC's enmity.

    lvl50 Runic Blade: Last10sec, 3min cooldown. The next spell cast on you, either by foe or ally, is absorbed/negated, and you gain the amount of mp that the spell required. Works with AoE spells (negating the area of effect dmg entirely) but only if you were the mob's target.


    Magic spells:

    lvl1: All Bar-element spells
    lvl15: En-dark/En-light, add magic dmg additional effect to weapon, the damage is based on your enhancing skill and your weapon delay, higher delay = more damage.
    lvl20: Stoneskin
    lvl30: Phalanx
    lvl40: Refresh
    lvl50: Haste
    lvl60 En-dark/light II

    Haste and refresh mainly cause we need more job with these spells badly, and so mystic knight could support a bit if tanking not needed.

    So a mystic knight dmg output would be rather low, with just the en-spell as a dmg boosting spell/ability, but would be a great tank especially vs mage mobs or mobs with no big physical dmg ws, and decent support, though lacking any healing/enfeebling, other jobs gets enough of these.

    Screw adding new jobs we have almost as many as FF:Tactics. Upgraded jobs is a good idea quests that involved storyline and then give you access to special gear similar to AF, new abilities, and spells. Even if they don't do that I really think they shouldn't think about adding jobs at least for 1-2 expansions. There's so many things that they need to work on adding jobs is so hard to balance at this point without replacing a job or have it just be useless.
