Since i'm sure not everyone celebrates Christmas here, the title gets a generic name.

Ah yes, it's December, and that means scrambling for gifts for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, New Years, and what ever else there is. It also means if you havent ordered anything yet, youre either are going to be paying an ass ton for shipping, or going to the mall/dollar store in hopes of a quick cheap gift! So you can also call this a friendly reminder to do your shopping this weekend of be sol.

So then, what have you gotten so far (or plan to get) for your family/friends/yourself/etc, and what have you asked for (or expect to get) from others?

You may already be doing this, but my suggestion (if you have the time):

1. Find out when your local GameStops and/or independent gaming stores receive their incoming shipments.
2. Visit with them about a half hour before that period every day, stick around and/or ask if they are getting any.
3. Make sure you're friendly about it, and they'll likely be nicer to you than they would a snotty kid's parents.

As aforementioned, you may be attempting to get one via these methods already, but as someone who worked in game retail management for years, that's my suggestion. Even on the year they came out, the Wii were not incredibly scarce -- Nintendo was stocking my stores with them fairly regularly -- but no one saw them because they sold out shortly after arriving. I'm sure you can get Wii Fit by the same means.

I went the whole small clothing item route this year because I don't have alot of cash to throw around.

I have two good friends that you could call beavis and butthead almost, they do alot together and are both
kinda eccentric so I got them hats, each with one of the sayings on them.

I got my mom a pair of red gloves, my sister i havent figured out what to get yet (shes 11) ,
and I won't say what i got my gf because she browses here alot and would probably read it
(she got more than a random shirt though haha).

I want/got a new pair of ice skates, and I havent really asked for anything else although everyone already
knows gas money or money in general is good enough for me, seeing as then I can use it for what i want in the future.

Bought all my gifts on Thanksgiving night from Amazon, cheap and free shipping. Black Friday went to Kohl's at 9:00pm and raided the 50% off toy sale they were having for my 7 month old daughter, there were three total shoppers in the store at the time it was so nice.

I got my wife an Ipod Docking device for her car and one of those desktop weather forecasts for christmas last year and she really liked them both. Although both have broke in the last 2 weeks, I don't want to get her the same things again.

Got my wife a propel A767, Her phone was on its last leg and upgrade was available, so got it fairly cheap.

Dads gets comp speakers, lilsis gets 512 9500, big sis 1 gets her comp fixed and a few new parts to keep it working (really its a gift for me so I can stop fucking fixing it), big sis 2 gets Amazon card.

My moms it different, I took all her comic book that have been siting in the closet for 3 years, dusted them off, put them all in bags, new boxes (old ones barely made it to my place). She hasn't had time to look at them or do anything=ng with them for a long time They are silver age comics so I feel it was well worth all the work (god all the bag taping took so lone)

For myself I got 2g of ram for my cop (Thanks me!)

That's basically how I got my wii lol One of my friends worked at Gamestop and she let me know when they got a new shipment in, so I managed to snag one thanks to her.

On topic- I haven't done any gift shopping yet... I'm such a slacker. <_<

Some stuff I got so far:

For family members and a few friends I got keychains from FlipScript. Kinda expensive ($13.99 each), but they turned out nice and its very unlikely anyone else would have the same.

For my sister: Perfume she wanted, a couple puzzles & Cranium since she plays board games with her friends fairly often.

For my brother: Guitar Hero for DS. Probably going to get him the skateboard deck he asked for.

For my mom: Not sure, probably money and random stuff.

For myself: PS3 games from Black Friday sales.

Got my brother three books, my mom a pair of earrings, my girlfriend is getting a nice bracelet, grandpa is getting a new wallet to replace his piece of shit, and my dad is getting a Zig Ziglar audio book.

My dad is retiring in 3 months, so combining retirment gift + xmas for him, so going to buy him a nice Bluray player since he's planning on getting a new High Def TV. Brother just bought a PS3 so will probably get him Madden for that, or since it's him and his wife's 1 year wedding anniversary the day after xmas, may get them a gift card so they can get what they need for there apartment. Mother, I have absolutely no fucking clue for -_-

Bought myself a new Samsung LN46A750 46" TV and it came with a free blue-ray player so am doing the following:

Brother: My old 32" Samsung LCD TV
Mom: New Samsung blue-ray player (don't need it I use the PS3)
Dad: Cuisinart Food Processor (He's the chef in the family)

Girlfriend - Undecided (notice how I put her on the bottom of the list, even under the dog...so some of you might be able to figure it out lol)


Myself - New PS3 items...and futurama seasons 1-4 oh, and also 2 new work uniforms.
