74 additional ATK from Aftermath... at 100TP? ('A')
74 additional ATK from Aftermath... at 100TP? ('A')
Hmmm, that's 20 extra attack from the normal 25% boost of berserk
Normal Berserk: +128/512 {25%} [396 > 495]
Augment Berserk: +154/512 {30.08%} [396 > 515]
KJ: +50 to base attack, increasing with TP (from previous reports)
At exactly 100 TP that would imply: 396 > 446 + Berserk = 580
Reported was 589
Implies base of 453, which is +57 att
Unknown TP, so unknown scaling
Warcry stacks as a flat add to percentage increase with Berserk (Quick sample test with sam/war @400 att, Berserk=500 att, Warcry+Berserk=521 att, Warcry=421 att), therefore treat it as a fixed increase after other effects.
604 - 589 = 15. Less of an increase than my sam/war.
604 is exactly 4/3 of 453. Simple coincidence, or cap?
Um , they never said relic will not out damage these. They said that These will not have higher BASE dmg then the relic. Which is TRUE, and they must have mis-translated, or you read it wrong.
Example, The excaliber has 49 DMG. the tizona has 42. No other sword in the game has 49 dmg or higher, making the excaliber STILL the highest dmg sword in the game and will always remain that way.
that does not mean it is the highest DPS however.
So just because the dynamis Great axe will always have the highest base dmg in the game, doesnt mean that the Mythic Great Axe wont do more damage per min.
I think they made these weapons because the game is getting old and it needs new weapons, but at the same time, they did not want to slap anyone in the face who spent years upgrading a dynamis weapon.
This makes both Weapon upgraders of both sides happy.
No, the side with the lowest dps will always be unhappy. This makes both Weapon upgraders of both sides happy.
Watching somebody use blm atm. Looks like seal does indeed still wear after 1 nuke. I couldn't see the damage, so idk if there is a damage boost. I will investigate that for sure.
According to what Rocl wrote in the other thread,
So maybe they accidentally gave him Laevateinn - Bahamut - FFXIAH.com instead of Laevateinn - Bahamut - FFXIAH.com? lol
Yeah Rocl is right. Its a blank weapon. Sorry wasn't able to read that thread. Man thats lame.
edit: One of the guys here has a weapon with stats. Trying to find him.
I am going by what I was told from two people who played BLM at Fanfest btw, they couldn't find anything and did not even had access to Vidohunir to test the Aftermath either
I'm assuming they nuked > ES > nuked with the same spell to test

in particular
"The damage per second is, while still more than respectable, lower than on the Monk's fully realized Dynamis relic, the Spharai. This is intentional, Square-Enix explained at the summit, as the Nyzul Isle relics are intended to focus less on raw damage and more on enhancing the abilities of the job."
I never said anything about base damage since SE never said that.
Okay, found a person with a real weapon. Seal still leaves after 1 nuke. Gear was kept constant, thunder I > ES > thunder I on a leech. First one did 217, second did 238 (whm was meleeing inbetween but I don't think it matters. Whm didn't cast anything). BLM has 66+38 INT.
Crap, seems the person had both wise strap and witch sash on, so somebody will have to run the numbers to see if it was a crit proc![]()
238/217 = 1.09678 so about 9.6% more damage on second one. Assuming a lvl75 BLM with MAB traits, this value is too high. If you had no MAB traits then the +10 MAB proc on wise strap could make this.
Can you redo it and tell me what you get?
Also, can you take the weapon off and nuke, then put it on and nuke?
That's a 10% increase in damage. There's no way it could be a crit proc since crit is MAB+10 which means for a BLM with at least MAB+20, that's necessarily going to be less of an increase.
Get them to nuke > take off staff > nuke to see if the fixed bonus is "staff" or MAB, if you can.
Edit: lol @ kaeko mind-meld
Tried it again with somebody else. Removed magic crit items (grip and sash). Thunder I > ES > Thunder I on a crawler.
First thunder I did 205 damage. Seal DID go off, yet the second spell was RESISTED (wtf), but still did 112 damage. This suggests a damage boost. They kicked me out so
edit: That was same gear. I didn't get to try staff/no staff![]()
Please make sure it isn't lightningday/lightning weather![]()
There might be too many variables to figure it out based on this. Without knowing if the crawler and the leech had the same INT, it will be difficult to figure out the base damage on the spell. We also don't know if they gave those characters any merits. Is it too late to try to get someone else going in to just test the staff on/off?
Edit: Again! wtf
