Collecting all 20 Nyzul Isle weapons.

I finally got my last Nyzul Isle weapon last night (completion whore), and I am curious what other people's experience with the weapon drops has been. I can honestly say I got the first 15 or so twice as fast as I got the last 5. BLM, SMN, DNC, COR, and BST were a bitch. I have seen hundreds of RNG, WHM, and MNK drops. I think we have seen 2 PLD and SMN drops ever in months of doing Nyzul Isle going 6-7 times a week. I think everyone in my group has the ones they really want, and a few members are also trying to collect 20/20 now that I did it.

Anyone else collect all 20 yet? Or even more likely, is there a specific weapon you haven't gotten to drop and haven't gotten around to, or can't force it to drop?

I notice lots of duplicates during runs, you would figure if something has a 1/20 chance of dropping you wouldnt see 3-4 of them from the same run and only 1 other weapon besides that, same with dynamis. As much as id enjoy thinking that everything is random, seeing 5 of something drop and 0 of another, the probability has to be astronomical if it was purely random number generation.

Ive been doing Nyzul 4 tags a week since the update for the weapons. And just this past Sunday I received my GA, (2nd one of the group). And our group has yet to see a rng. The duplicates we seem to get the most of is pup, thf, and nin (nin we're like 3/4 off of sub-100 floor bosses for some gd reason)

I did a full climb to 100, then about 12 additional runs before seeing PUP weapons.

There's probably a correlation between floors and what weapons will drop. Probably also too much data to really take into account or to worry about. Floor 100 and go!

There is only Double Axe and Inferno Claws, nothing else.

My Nyzul Static saw countless WHMs, RNGs, SMNs, SCH and BLM weapons, like 1 each was close to 100% dropping every run.. I had to PLD myself on F96 on Brave Blade..

12/20, rarest to see for my group were pup, rng, drg...and whm until we did one run and 4 dropped in a row.

And, actually 13/20 counting BLM, but I dropped that after unlocking the ws.

My group has seen exactly 1 rng and 2 drk and 1 nin since beginning a full climb from 1 to 100, killing nearly every nm on the way, and several weeks of 96-100 repeats. Meanwhile, we have sch and pup and bst coming out our ears.

The random number generator is not only a real thing, it has intelligence and it is evil.

Seen about 5 billion pup+dnc weapons, including double drops of them off bosses. Random drops are random.

I myself am short BST, NIN & BRD to complete my collection of all weapons but my Nyzul static disbanded after getting Runic Keys. The one weapon that plagued us on a consistant basis was Wightslayer. Oh lord so many Wightslayers...

I probably did about 30 runs before seeing a Sam drop, and it was the main weapon I wanted. I've seen plenty (3+) of every other weapon except rdm. The most common being dnc which we get at least once a run, and sometimes 3-4 a run.

Weapons also don't drop until you do a special 100 run with someone on the job you want the weapons for, after you obtain the weapon by going out of your way, it drops several times on the very next Floor or run. Used my PLD to get Brave Blade and had a LS member join us for a run so our BRD could get DRK Death Sickle as we hadn't seen either weapon in awhile. Ended up seeing those 2 drops on the next runs after.

I only need WAR and BLU to complete the entire set.

And I'll agree that the random number generator isn't very random. I think WHM, DNC, and BST are among our most popular weapons.

As said above, once you do a floor 100 run to get a specific weapon, you'll see three of them drop your next run.

I'll support this theory, because it happened to my group with RDM and then with BLU weapons. After we forced them to drop, for a few runs afterwards, it just kept spitting them out, and then it dried up again. /shrug

This holds true for most things in FFXI such as: AF2,Coffer Keys,Salvage drops,Abjurations,Torques,Homam/Nashira,Nyzul Armor etc..

Back before the update when we were still having disc holder warp, literally the one you wanted only dropped when you were the warper. Missed out on RDM/COR/BRD this way and I think I got PLD before our main PLD when he warped.

It's thief dagger we are keep getting a lot We have no DNC/PUP in our group for double drop on bosses..

I hardly ever see anything else. Somehow I've managed to get smn dnc and brd though...somewhere along the line...

It's totally not random.
