fuck i even said in my blog i BOUGHT the fish. I dont bot anymore, I'm not scared to admit I use to bot. I'm a programmer, we all mess with shit for a while just cause we can.

To be honest, if SE came out tomorrow and said 'Hey, bots are fine by us', I'd change my mind. My opinion on what is wrong and what isn't is based on SE. My opinion of SE's opinion is completely different though. Sorry... that last line is a bit confusing.

However, the latter is the correct one. That is how SE intended the game to be. By not following this, you take the legs out of any argument you can make against SE.

What about SE didnt have the chance to look back at another big MMO during its development like WoW did and realize 3rd party development would be a big thing by expanding the game with extra users creativity? Look at all the WoW addons. Blizzard thougth of it, and SE didnt. Had FFXI been made after WoW im sure SE would of added a customization ability to the game.

SE never knew addons/3pp would be such a big deal, they didnt have much of a guideline of popular things beyond EQ (which iirc didnt really have real addons? just UI enhancements?)

But now after games launched and such -- its not as easy to implement ideas in as easy as it would of been before launch.

Considering SE is even implementing stuff we are programming, do you really think SE doesnt wish they added a more controlled 3rd party development system such as WoW addons?

oh and speaking of WoW addons, not everyone can use them yet they are allowed.

Yeah this is my point, SE isn't the leader/kings/president of the world. First of all it's just a game for one thing, regardless you're paying $15 a month weather you suck in the game, aka no endgame shell, crap at your job etc, or being the best geared players passing content faster than it comes out. ZOME TRAVEL BACK IN TIME?

I don't care the game was created by SE, their rules or whatever, just because someone created something, doesn't mean it's perfect nor it's correct/right. Look at all the changes done since 2003, so does it mean all those changes were incorrect, or when it was 2003, the unchanged FFXI was bliss?

It's just a game, like I said on that other thread which crazy Cow_K, apparently people like the OP and maybe you (I don't know) think it's more than that. Making such a statement and arguments about a mere game is worse than what those extremist are doing based on a unknown entity they call Allah and sacrificing their lives for him/her/it.

means extremely unfinished product thats not ready for public release and buggy.

Alpha : Internal testing only (in case of WoW, developers and family of blizzard only tests it)
Beta : Nearing ready for release, opened up to public testing before release
RC(Release Candidate), final builds before release, more public testing in which the version may be perfectly ready for release, but sometimes more public testing (larger test base) will find a last few bugs. In case of firefox, the last RC released was the exact version released as official, no bugs were found.
