What about SE didnt have the chance to look back at another big MMO during its development like WoW did and realize 3rd party development would be a big thing by expanding the game with extra users creativity? Look at all the WoW addons. Blizzard thougth of it, and SE didnt. Had FFXI been made after WoW im sure SE would of added a customization ability to the game.

I'm going to have to dispute that on the grounds that we're coddling legacy hardware (and not so legacy yet runs like an emulated piece of shit) along with a PC version. If we were fully allowed to customize our game the console people would shit bricks in our direction.

I'd seriously wish that PS2/360 and PC development would finally separate and we would be given a little bit more leeway. Then some of those things could snake back into the PS2/360 environments.

Yeah this is my point, SE isn't the leader/kings/president of the world. First of all it's just a game for one thing, regardless you're paying $15 a month weather you suck in the game, aka no endgame shell, crap at your job etc, or being the best geared players passing content faster than it comes out. I don't care the game was created by SE, their rules or whatever, just because someone created something, doesn't mean it's perfect nor it's correct/right. Look at all the changes done since 2003, so does it mean all those changes were incorrect, or when it was 2003, the unchanged FFXI was bliss?

SE could of went same route as WoW, if your PC sucks you just cant use everything you would want is how it is in WoW, so ps2 users could be the shitty PC's of wow.

I suggest killing him with kindness, send him flowers or chocolates, subscribe him to a "Beer-of-the-Month" club, or just send money. The more and better distractions you give him for real life, the less oportunity he has to affect your gaming experience by doing the stuff that has no relevance to you and your gaming as described by you.

Not sure if you actually have played on PS2(or 360 not set to widescreen), but there's not really any room for any add-ons, lol. The chatlog alone takes about 60% of the screen, the other 40% is comprised of the party/alliance list and macro bars. If you added something like Recast you'd never see your own character without a pretty full-on UI overhaul.

That said I'd kill for TParty on 360.
