The ls that I'm in has just started Tav in the last few months and we've gotten 3 DNC-1 legs off the bees.

Back from the dead! Some ass decided to generalize the pages I updated on wiki, so I plan on fixing that. So in the meantime I wanted to see if anything new has dropped since~

I think we actually figured it out in this thread haha. We've been farming different sets of mobs every Tavnazia run we do, and the loot pools are pretty much what we said they were.

We've been doing a weekly Tav Static for quite some time and we've only ever touched Bees and Clusters so it would explain why there's a bunch of drops we've never seen.


Actually have all our drops recorded since Feb 09 so hopefully these should support the opening post.

Are you 100% that the distribution of legs is 11-9 and not 10-10? Just seems odd, is there any on the bee list missing screenshot verification?

I remember I got my -1 WHM legs off of Makara. Can't remember what dropped -1 WHM body though.

Any good idea or suggestion to kill makara and clusters >.< ? ( cause i think they are the hardest mobs and will easily wipe an unexperienced group)

Don't let your mages stand in the LoS of the Makara. Making this mistake will easily fuck over a Makara pull. Recoil Dive is ridiculous. Make sure people keep Stoneskin up in the event someone is retarded. I've seen it 1 shot BLMs and support mages all too often due to being lazy or inattentive.

Manaburn the bombs. Some people take a RDM/DRK or two and attempt to Stun Self-destruct and just melee burn them, I've never tried that though myself. Chances are manaburning them will be much easier for an inexperienced group as you mentioned. I can't remember clearly, but Bombs go down ridiculously quickly to 3, maybe 4 Thunder 4s.

Always had the following setup plow through the zone relatively easy:

Then your melee pt, which is w/e you want it to be.

Have your BLM PT break off and kill Bombs while the Melee+Tank PT goes off to do something else. Manaburning the bombs literally leaves 0 room for a melee besides the THF for TH. Might as well send them off to farm something else(we did Bombs+Leeches.) THF will be busy during this period, but meh.

Doing it like that leaves 0 chance of a bomb exploding and taking your entire alliance and still manages to farm efficiently.

Kinda interested in how other people have done Tav, tbh. O_o I've heard of it done many ways.

It's also worth noting that the LARGER of the three bombs in each set does not use Self Destruct. So, if you don't want to split your group in half, you can pull the bombs and have the melee target the large bomb while the BLMs manaburn the smaller ones.

We do the opposite of this. We just stick Fire Carol and Barfire on everyone for bombs and Self Destruct gets resisted the vast majority of the time. The melees then deal with the small bombs knowing that their only TP move is now mostly harmless. We let the BLM's deal with the bigger bomb as Circle of Flames followed by a few melee swings or Sling Bomb/Formation Attack always seems to fuck our melees up.
