Rogue in Wrath

My dps is hovering around 3k with mute in blue/pruples with blue daggers still, havent had any major upgrades in a while so It's not too bad atm.

Were Rogues nerfed at all? I was fighting a couple in Howling Fjord last night and I beat the crap out of them. Before WoTLK came, they would have cut me to pieces. So, yeah, new expansion nerfs.

The entire thread is about how rogues aren't what they used to be, that when blizzard was balancing all classes, they balanced rogues WITH a bug in their talent tree that made them half decent. The bug was removed and rogue became shitty, and nothing has been done since.

Right now in 25mans/heroics I push to and hover around 3k dps in most fights that favor rogue dps. I'm in heroic and badge gear only, not a single drop from any 10/25man and only 1pc t7 cause I'm reluctant to get my chest with how often I do instances that drop it.

It was shitty for me, as I didn't see my dps going up with all the gear I was grinding out to get, but at some point, and I don't know which, my single target skyrocketed. going from 2k to 3k is pretty nice with pre-10/25man gear. I hated mut in most heroics since 99% of every single instance, if you have sayyyy concecrate, you rape meters, since mut is bad in those situations, but I used to be 5-10% behind overall from my ret paladin rl friend, and now I'm 2-3% on overall.

I remember a time where rogue used to shit all over the overall dps meters, at least that gap has gotten smaller.

I'm on edge about leveling my hunter... I know i'm going to hit 80, like it more, and not want to play the rogue and get bitched at by guildies... but I'm probably going to have to deal with it. Ranged is just more fun to me, not to mention I get a free 60mage and warrior out of it, and who knows, I might like tanking on warrior more than I did doing it on pally BC - lots of options.

I'm pretty ehh about my hunter as well. I just made it because I was still in my "I hate playing a magic/caster" phase and o ho ho, I've a SPriest that's 70 now.

Just hitting steady shot and serpent sting in a raid or instance doesn't make me very happy. Also sucking at arena isnt fun.

Surprised no one has mentioned Rogue viability in PVP right now. They are definately the strongest class in Arena still (Arcane Mage is close) and a large majority of the top teams will include Rogues. Basically they're even more powerful than they were in S4, and that's saying a lot.

You'll get fixed in PVE, don't worry. I doubt you'll get fixed in PVP since Bliz never really has fixed Rogues to where they need to be.

Read the Arena thread. I think you'll find we're all perfectly aware of what Rogues are getting away with there.

atleast the "out in the world pvp" rogues are all gimpy/retarded and not too much effort to kill... or anything else for that matter.

I've meet a few decent DK's though... think me and this ally DK must of death strike'ed each other for a min trying to kill each other

Rogue would probably be PVP only and Hunter (or warrior since it'll hit 60 with the hunter cause of refer a friend) will be my PVE char.

I will be the first to tell you, I am horrid at Arenas. World pvp? Yeah I don't do too badly. But the moment I'm put in queue I start sweating bullets. I never cared for PvP as a rogue much at all, but it's usually PvP nerfs that end up costing me hard in PvE.

As mute it seems pretty easy to me in arenas, I havent mastered the ShD Daggers spec in pvp yet, or the fist one (since i dont have a fist)
