These buffs are incredible. HfB>SnD>Rupture just changed to Rupture>all lol. The combat buffs are sick as well, and depending on lightning reflexes, we might see some hybrid builds now.

We're not exactly sure if the HfB change is good or bad at the moment. The wording is really bad on it. Hopefully other people's bleeds will count towards bleed effect on target and not just our own bleeds. The combat changes are kind of lackluster too, but the Adrenaline Rush change is pretty nice.
Other bleeds do count for it.
The idea with Hunger for Blood is you will probably have bleeds available from other classes in a raid setting (and even if you didn't you can add them yourself). But in PvP it will require an extra step to really benefit from HfB and thus tone down Assassination burst damage a little.
I think anything for HfB is better than what it is now. It's now more damage, but a bleed has to be on before we can use the ability. Is it going to be instant with no cooldown still? Hopefully, thats the only way it'll work really.
The combat changes seem really good to me, I might be able to actually play combat now. A few more slight changes, toss in a Ass.Tree glyph, and I'll be happy.
Got some nice upgrades last night from Naxx, gear that still hadn't dropped at all finally did and I managed to nab it, except of course, webbed death.
But, I did get the next best dagger a week ago and that has helped push me up the dps meters considerably, even managing to slightly outdps the other rogue in the guild at pwerk. BUT I may make a move back to combat. I still like combat quite a bit over mutilate.
3.0.9 Mut nerf inc
Patch 3.0.9 on live servers this week
Did I miss something? Rogues still can't top the charts but we're gonna nerf an entire spec's core ability anyway? >.>
10% haste boost for a loss of 30% bonus damage from our combo point builder responsible for a full third of our damage.
Mmm-hmmm...nice job blizz.
Sounds more like it was intended to be more a pvp nerf than pve. It's funny, someone in the twink thread mentioned how there was no fun in 2-3 shotting people in pvp. As it is rogue(and mage), are way OP in pvp and can burst someone down in 2-3 seconds in the 80 bracket. And while rogue and mage need some pvp balance, they doesn't deserve a nerf that will affect them in pve when, if anything, they need a boost with pve (well rogue needs a boost, mage is fine as is in pve).
I don't know why Blizzard feels they need to keep damage ratios the same for both pvp/pve, when they have no problem adjusting things like nerfing CC durations for (only) some classes in pvp. A simple adjustment to damage ratios in pvp (for all classes) would do a whole lot more to deal with pvp imbalances and wouldn't have to have an effect on pve(which they keep screwing up every time they "fix" a class).
Eh, long story, bad grammar. Point is don't nerf rogue pve just because they are OP in pvp. Bliz needs to find a better way to do things.
Mutilate wasn't how people were getting 2-3 shotted in PvP.
Well... shows how much I know about a class I don't play. But I do feel you all need some love in pve. Maybe the 3.1 changes mentioned earlier will help.
This isn't a PVE nerf. The HfB buff along with the Buff to SnD is about a 6-10% dps increase, possibly more using two fast daggers.
Mutilate is getting better for PVE and people are jumping back to combat which still hasn't been buffed yet?
It's a tossup at this point, no one will know until the changes become live, but personally I just prefer combat. There were some changes planned to Combat already (Lightning Reflexes, Mace Specialization, Savage Combat, blablabla), and the changes to Mutilate really extremely favor faster weapons which if you read a few posts ago, I don't have and have yet to drop. If they somehow 2 drop before the changes go live, I'll probably stay Mutilate but I somehow seriously doubt it. I have weapons to switch to Sword/Fist and have an offhand mace off of Naxx 25, so we'll see what happens.
