Only 3 hours? They haven't posted the file size yet and sure it could be subject to change but wouldn't that make the time subject to change too? Why bother posting it till they know both, hope its not as small as I think its going to be I have high hopes for this update!

There's one thing I don't understand about the whole "This should have been in at release!" argument. FFXI launched in 2002. The current MMO ideal was released two years later. In that time frame, the only major MMO FFXI had to compete with (and develop ideas off of) was EverQuest. Conceptually, FFXI felt more similar to EQ than it ever will to WoW. So when stuff like Level Sync, Moogles in certain places (ie Selbina), etc come up, why do people always have to say "This should have been in at release!" when going up against the time frame in which FFXI was developed, in which none of this would have been seen at all?

Wafik, I have never in my life complained about a version update, ever. I have watched others do it and sigh over 99% of the comment, but this update is just too much to not comment. I mean seriously, group 2 merit for DNC and SCH aside, this is really something that should have been packed with the game. A such small update right after fanfest, that's just not right. If they haven't announced everything yet, I might take that comment back, depending on what the news is. Fuck, give me Beaucedine or Xarcabard [S] and i'll be happy.

Good lord, do you honestly think this is all that's going to be in an update? They ALWAYS throw in other stuff..they never give out 100% details even in update notes, they don't go "oh this gear set was added" "oh that gear set was added" "oh these weapons were added" "oh these items were added" unless they're highly important (like Relic.)..the rest dat miners find.

Oh..and since when did they fucking list every mission in an update notice? They have never listed every mission in an update..not even around Zilart and CoP..who's to say there's only 2 missions? Maybe those are the more important of the batch of mission/quests being added..they did it with CoP when they unlocked chapter 7 then last bit of chapter 8..but there was more inbetween because mos of the chapter 7-8 missions didn't involve promathia, they involved other things..last mission involved fight vs promathia, which was detailed in the notes basically (along with the end song and how nobuo came back to compose it and etc.) there could still only be 2..but once you get your precious outlands[S]..then what? What else are you going to complain about? lol, seriously..when people get what they want, it's proven they'll just find something else to complain about.

People who complain about "small" updates need to understand they could give zero updates in general and let the game phase out like they did Front Mission..or realize they're more than likely holding info back because of the festival today and tomorrow.

Also, not sure if I read another post entirely correctly, but regarding cat 2 merits for SCH/DNC- they weren't added earlier because they needed to see what benefits would be good for those jobs?

They seem to analyze the jobs for a bit before releasing group 2 merits, like BLU they seen most wanted more Blue points, didn't use a lot of AoE spells because..well they were AoE and so on.
