Yo dawg, I heard you like avatar battles, so we put avatar battles in your avatar battle avatars!
They do not! That's a lie spread by the Buffalo buffalo.
The "large model animation" comment makes me think that we'll finally get Alexander and/or Odin. I'm looking forward to it. Even better, since the reason given for "no player summonable Bahamut" was that they didn't want to scale him down, maybe we'll get Bahamut someday too. I don't think that they'll let continuity get in the way too much either, I mean look at how screwed up Fenrir's continuity is. He starts off dead, you can fight Fenrir Prime even when he's dead, then you can do the Windurst missions and get rank 10 and have him be alive again, then do CoP where's dead again and you're talking to his deceased spirit! Fighting a prime avatar with their own summon is nothing in comparison.
The story behind Bahamut so far seems like he's really not up for lending us his power directly...
And Fenrir is dead? I always thought he was just sealed in Full Moon Fountain.
Oh, must have been the CS one, then. Been a while. >>CS models

If I understood the Windurst storyline correctly:
Spoiler: show
Then they're like "OMG, MAX! SAVE US!"
I was still wondering why I beat up the Arch-Lich Taberqueef though, I must have missed a key CS, cause I still don't know who the fuck that guy was... I think maybe he owed Semih some gil or something.
I wonder if he would have been nice if we just went in and started talking with him.
"Oh, how nice, I've got some guests... would you like some cookies and milk?"
*begins bludgeoning him in the ass with a great axe*
"OW! FUCK! MY COCCYX!"
*Arch-lich summons help*
"GUARDS! SEIZE THEM!*
My understanding is that he was simply in the way when you went to check on the seal, presumably present because he was sent by whomever to destroy it and hadn't cleared the scene quite yet when you arrived.
