Lamp order floor is a joke, rarely take more than a few minutes.

    - Split and go search for the lamp
    - As soon someone find a lamp, have him say "got one" as he turn it on. This way, you don't waste time setting a first lamp order.
    - Everytime one person light a lamp, someone add his name to the order list
    Kaylia: Player1 >
    Kaylia: Player1 > player2
    Kaylia: Player1 > player2 > player3

    - Wait all the lamp are lit, never say "on" before other people said "off". It's always confusing when someone say "on", followed by "off".

    - Finally, just rotate your list around (I send the first name at the end),
    Kaylia: Player2 > player3 > player4 > player1
    Kaylia: Player3 > player4 > player1 > Player2
    Kaylia: player4 > player1 > Player2 > Player3
Obviously, when a lamp is correct, you keep it in this spot

Oh, -I- know how to do orders, and our static does too. However, pickup groups don't, at least in my experience.

I know how to do lamps.

I tell them before we go in.

'Do NOT FUCKING TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL I SAY 'You, light your lamp and type a /', and then stand there til I say do something again. If you have a problem following orders like a good little soldier, take it up with Naja, grunt.'

How about being short a mage one run, so we only have a Rdm to keep everyone cured and sleep. We get an "Eliminate Enemy Leader" floor, every one applies sneak and runs right past two Mousse towards the boss. That is... save one Drk.

The Drk runs in, without sneak, and aggros both Mousse, and then stands there as the Rdm frantically tries to sleep them. At that exact same moment, the other four accidentally run near a Porroggo NM standing at a blind corner that sees through their sneak, casts a spell on one member right next to a rampart which then aggros leaving four melee to the mercy of the Porroggo without any heals or sleeps for the rampart.

    The Drk's comment?

"WOW! We got pwned! Why weren't the melee getting cures?"

I just wonder how any one could run into two mousse, having done well over 100 Nyzul runs without applying sneak. How...?

    I love Nyzul.

I could sware I remember being able to Sleep soulflayers in nyzul on RDM, maybe I'm going crazy though.

Nah, but when you tried to sleep it they probably started casting flood and you went out of range so it seemed like it.

Flayers are great cause you can poke em and just run away for as long as you want basically.

I found out lamps clear aggro the hard way, could see a mob on Radar waaaay around a corner... then after like the 2nd cycle and trying to get a tardbaby to realize "WHEN WE SAY HIT YOUR LAMP NOW, WE DON'T MEAN WAIT TIL THE NEXT PERSON DOES"... then a Peryton rounds the corner on me, I start killing, Rdm sleeps it, I hit my lamp... Peryton depops.

FUCK, so awesome and I never knew it.

    2. Gem Heister Roorooroon, not only do they ignore the nearby Puktrap that kept attacking (which would've easily been eliminated), they actually followed the Qiqirn into the same room as Drooling Daisy, instead of pulling him back to the Rune where it was safer.

    3. Vile Ineef - bullrushed him at the archway by his room, completely oblivious to the Peryton in the same room (which are immune to sleep spells).

And then there are lamp floors where people just let themselves get devoured by enemies by the lamps (though on higher floors, people seemed to have at least learn to avoid that mistake).

I guess my point is: When you are doing Nyzul Isle, and the objective is not "eliminate all enemies," kindly pay attention to the other enemies on the floor or just die in a fire.
You need to stop going with random people, and start going with people you know. Sure you can get lucky and get a group of competent people through shouts or random asks for help on LS, but stuff like this works best with people that work well together.

I have helped people radomly shouting, and usually there is always someone that dies from stupidity and does not have RR even. I have also gone with people I do a lot of other stuff with (ZNM, solo/duo NMs, BCNMs/ENMs/KSNMs) with completely abnormal job setups and won no problem. Main thing is we get into a grove and know who to listen to, and who is best ignored. We also know who should go with whom to keep them alive if they have a mob near lamp lol. This stuff tends to happen with statics after time, but randomly made groups seldom have this cohesion.

You can most definitely sleep flayers inside nyzul, whether it's light or dark based sleep I'm not 100% positive(our RDM & BRD are the same person so don't remember what she was that run), but I've seen the slept text message, whoever gets a set of them next run just test out a sleep while its being fought or something as to not jeopardize anything and screen the log for a little bit of proof. My run was just last night so not until tuesday =(

Drops are dumb as hell nowadays..

We've got 9 drops in a row from floor 100 of fu($#!" Goliard Hat...
Well, at least we're starting to get Askar Hats... got our 4th in a row now.. First Denali seem to drop after the 9th Askar...

However, i need to admit: Get a static!

We split in 2 Teams to make everything faster, like kill all missions. on the 1 Special Part we mage aren't even really moving out because it's too weak and we can avoid aggro 95% of the time (the 5% is me most of the time getting aggro, but that's not because i am a bad player, that's just because i am a BLM!).

We got 2 Askar Bodies and a pair of Askar Legs from 3 runs today. Bricks were shat. Toilet paper was in short supply. Sometimes you just get lucky, but we are comming off a 1/6 streak, so I think it's nothing really special.

It wasn't in this thread, but I love the nyzul advice (I'm serious). I was reading a thread where it was mentioned that you should just boot dead people from the pt when you need to lot/pass armor at the last second, and this is exactly what happened to my group today - we had Fafnir floor @ 5 mins to go and we killed him in 4 with 1 min left and 2 dead people, one reraised, one I kicked from pt and the goliard dropped to our one lotter with 5 secs to spare.

Had I not read that here a few days ago I probably wouldn't have thought of it (as much as I'm mean sometimes I hate kicking people from a pt for nearly any reason).

Lamp deaggro would probably have helped today too had I remembered it >.>

Work out how to do lamp floors before you go in and if you can use ventrilo/teamspeak/skype during runs.

76-80 : first 5 min NIN's ISP craps out so its just WHM, RDM, THF, DRG
I think it was 2 leader floors (pudding/imp), a kill all, a lamp (maybe), then a khimara
After surviving that with ~30s left, everything else seems easy.

Just have the person who should get the drop force d/c a few seconds before you get kicked out. Because they're d/cing they stay in the zone, so when everyone else is out they get the drop.
