Is anyone having issues connecting to google related sites right now? I can't connect to google or youtube. I can connect to many other sites but not those atm. Same result in both chrome and firefox. Even going into cmd.exe and pinging google says that the ping request couldn't find google.

I do laundry once a week.

That said, how on earth do I get my work pants (regular khakis) to stop shrinking? It's a battle to put them on every Wednesday when I go in for work. I know I'm not gaining so much weight that my pants are super tight every fucking week. Super uncomfortable right now.

What temperature? cooler temperatures cause less shrinkage.

Buy a collapsable drying rack, and let them air dry instead of throwing them in the dryer.

So Comcast "issues".

1) As of March I started getting an "HD Additional Outlet fee" of $9.95. I've been busy and haven't called in for it yet and now all of a sudden it's April and I get the fee again. Oops.

2) Apparently the promo I got was for 12 months, not 24 as I assumed it was, so my fees went from $79.99 + HD fees + tax to $186.41 including HD fees and Tax.

3) Current existing promo is $69.99 for 12 months for existing customers, which is actually $10/month cheaper than my original promo.

I talked to people online and got a $10 credit for one month of the additional outlet fee, went to sign up for that bundle in #3 but unlike the first customer service lady explained, he was NOT able to prorate me or any such thing and told me I'd need to speak to the local Comcast office about the additional HD boxes and receiving a credit for this past months fees.

So I get to go to the local Comcast office, and I don't want to be mad or annoying, but I really would like to get a credit on my account over $100 to make up for these increased costs, even though technically I am responsible for a bulk of them, the additional outlet fee was just a random addition to my bill. I live in a studio apartment, I have 1 room, I have NO reason to have an additional outlet at all. How should I approach this when I go to the office tomorrow?

When I watch youtube videos, by hovering the mouse pointer over the progress bar, a tiny thumbnail of the video at that time shows up sometimes, but other times it doesn't. It's extremely useful when I'm looking for something in particular in a long video, but I can't find a pattern on whether it shows up or not.

Anyone know?

It's just how fast your connection is vs the quality of the video you're downloading.

i.e. my internet sucks, I basically never have anything in them unless I let the whole video load before I watch it

Haven't taken chem in a while and attempting to help a friend out with basic stuff

Al2S3 -> aluminum sulfide
Pb(SO3)2 -> lead(IV) sulfite
Calcium Sulfate -> CaSO4
Barium Cyanide -> Ba(CN)2

Those are correct, yeah? Google etc, but I don't trust the results without knowing it's accounting for subscripts properly

So, I will be graduating this summer and I'm working on finishing up my resume to start sending it out. I have several good references from where I previously worked in a hospital (dept. supervisors, etc) and I can possibly get a reference from the CEO of the hospital. I saw him often in passing and we both know each other by face and have talked on occasion when I was near his office for my lunches(ate there b/c I knew someone in the admin. offices). While I do know him, I never worked directly with him. I don't know if putting it on my resume will automatically look like I'm some sort of kiss-up or something of that nature or if it really is a good thing to do. I'm not applying for any position administrative related, so it will stick out I suppose.

Shall I try to get the head honcho's good word?

So I live in a ranch style home and recently I've felt like I've been sinking into the floor of one of my houses. Like whenever I would step and stay in place I would sink into the carpet and floor. Our carpets suck so it's not just the plushness of the carpet. Today I stepped into the entrance of my bed room, stopped for a sec, and my foot sunk ever so slightly into the floor (almost imperceptibly) but it released a sulphurous smell in a wave. It smelled like a decaying body. Who do I tell about this and who can I get to check it out. I think there is something dead in my bedroom floor. The previous home owners were kind of sketchy so I'm really sketched out.
