I'd be careful getting a refurbished one. I had, in the span of 24hrs, 3 separate refurbished 360's from GameStop and all 3 Red Ringed on me. Ordered first one online, got it and played GTA4 for 1.5hrs, paused and went to my kitchen to get a drink and came up it was frozen and reset, it was RR. Took to gamestop, they swapped out, went home loaded up, RR'd again took to gamestop, they tested it and was RR'd they tested a new one for me with a new harddrive and everything, took it home and it RR'd and I said fuck it and just got my money back.

I usually have positive luck with best buy, and I work there too so if they fuck me over I'll just make all their lives a living hell.

They said it wanted it to last longer, sony wants to go another 4-5 years. Microsoft wants it to last longer too but honestly i can't see their hardware remaining relevant for another 2-3 years w/o a serious uppdate.

I dont really see any reason for a new gen. There no new groundbreaking thing the PS3 can handle, even the 360, hell even the Wii can handle a lot of it. Graphics and physics are the biggest thing, and SE said it still hasnt pushed PS3 to the max, so theres plenty of room; and blame developers to not improve on new methods of physics.

I still see this Gen as just beginning.

Ithink th ps3 is fine for another 4-5 years, but the xbox has been showing its age for years. How many sub 1080p games can they keep comin out with? How many times can gamers pay the same price for poorer quality games before they wise up that 360 is just a lower quality product. The only thing that saves it is its admittedly very good online community. While im sure that point will remain relevant through the ages, theres no saying sony or nnintendo wont take that prize from them a few years from now.

And wii sucks. Its no loonger innovative (imo), its just crappy graphics with motion control. The novelty wore off years ago, im no longer iimpressed =/.

Yeah, me neither. Looking at PC development I don't see such a massive difference as with PS2 vs PS3 before. Tesselation is hardly enough for me to get excited about. Making games takes too long/costs too much as it is.

They could use more memory though...

And with pcs, they are gradually updated so often i dont think anyone consideers any part of it a "current" ggen thing. If you had to label a generation on a pc, i only see things change when the really innovative games come out, like portal. Off the top of my head i cant think of any other leaps in gameplay or otherwise in the pc that could be considered a leap like coonsole generations.

But this is way off. Random question: how good are sprint 4g phones right now? Im lovin verizon but its so damn expensive. Sprint looks cheaper for more, any insight?

I went from the HTC Hero on Sprint to their Evo 4G, and it was a total upgrade in every way, except there's still no physical keyboard, but that's not much of a problem with the large screen it has.

You may not be impressed anymore but obviously Sony and Microsoft still are since they feel it's good enough technology to replicate the motion control for their own consoles and promote it at every opportunity...

But hey, at least we have the 3DS to look forward too, amazing 3D with no glasses required. Let's see how long it takes S and M to jump on that bus too.

You haven't touched the Move, have you? It makes the wii look like garbage shit's very accurate and responsive. I said it in that other thread, "but that's how the wii shoulda been."

Is it me or does the general forum seems shittier than it used to be? I mean I know it was bad but now it's pretty fucking horrid. I find myself browsing the tech, vydia, and bentertainment geekly one a lot more.

His came to me randomly, but im confused about cold blooded animals. They cant generate their own heat, yet they havve muscles and what not, doesnt that generate some kind of heat when used?

Cold blooded means they do not have homeostasis. They lack the ability to regulate their internal body temperature like we can. Their body temperature swings based on the environment. So yes they do produce some heat from movement it just isn't constant enough to keep their body temperature constant.

(This is coming from HS biology so I might be a little bit off.)
