It's a sony from who knows when, but I'll take a look when i get home.

Second, if you spent an entire summer hanging out with a female, and nothing physically happened between the two of you, you have been friend-zoned. Lots of times women in crappy relationships will form a friendship with another male who wants them because it gives them an emotional support/crutch that doesn't exist with her boyfriend. If her relationship was bad enough, she would have ended it. There are ways to get out of the friend-zone but its increasingly difficult and makes it harder based upon the amount of time you actually spent in the friend zone. There is a science to attraction. Check out theattractionforums.com and go through some of the stickies and beginner sections.
Oh yeah, we're definitely in friend stage, but there have been hints of attraction (well not hints, her flat out telling me I'm handsome) and flirting between us, but nothing outside of that. I figure I'm stuck in friend zone but I'll check out your link and see what they're talking about.

So I met this girl in one of my classes and after a few conversations asked her out for a casual lunch. The day comes and she needs to reschedule to today, and I'm fine with that, no awkwardness and we continue to talk and stuff. Then today comes and we says hi, but because it's a lecture hall I am forced to sit behind her, even though we always sat next to each other. So she keeps looking back while I'm working on some programming for a different class and I notice her but don't say anything. Then as soon as class ends she bolts and I don't see her again.

Did I do something wrong here?

It's an awkward situation sometimes doing things like this in college but, as a general rule of thumb, I always like to try and lock in first dates with phone confirmation. Txting is acceptable to make plans if you're making them a few days out, but I'll usually wait to the day of/day before and CALL and make more specifics. Calling the chick makes both you, and her feel more comfortable, and makes them feel more mentally committed when they say "yeah thats great, get me at 7pm" instead of simply typing back "yes" to a text message. Since you're in college, and shes in class with you, you need to be a bit more creative. Instead of "asking her to lunch" which sounds formal, and could be awkward. Why don't you catch her as shes walking out of class, make small talk for a few seconds, then don't ask, TELL HER, to come take a walk with you, and keep moving. Head to a coffee shop or something, or head to the cafeteria if its a last resort. On the walk, gauge her interest and flirtyness. Try doing slight physical escalation. GENTLY punching her arm if she says something busting your balls. You can't go from talking to straight hooking up, there usually is an in between, where there is physical flirting (known in the PUA world as kino.) Google "escalating kino" to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

That's great advice and all, and I'll probably use it, but is there any way to ease the current awkwardness / did I do anything wrong cause I was feeling this...

If you're feeling awkward she is going to sense that 100%. Also, chicks are ALWAYS going to seem interested, until they get to know you. It's common to carry on the illusion of interest until we're sure that we like you/you're not creepy/you're desirable. I hate to say it, but you kinda have to act like you don't care, and sell yourself if you want to maintain the interest of a woman :/ Go get em Tiger. If I were you, the next time you see her, be happy to see her (Hey! How was your weekend...), and ask if you can buy her lunch on the fly. I generally hate planned first dates.

Here's a question for BG: So I've been in a wonderful relationship for ~2.5 years, but just before the previous one ended (pretty much exactly three years ago this week) my ex gave me a spare guitar she had. It's nearly new and has a nice soft case and all, but I never really got into playing it. So it's just been sitting in my apartment, hardly used, for 3 years now. I hardly ever see my ex, sometimes just up on campus, so am I in the clear to sell this thing on Craigslist or take it to a pawn shop? My ex has never enquired about the guitar and we're always on friendly terms whenever we see each other. I'm basically living on student loans, scholarships, and a student line of credit, so any cash I can get is always welcome.

I have no emotional attachment to the guitar, and even though it's just collecting dust and taking up space in my living room, I have a hard time going to sell it thinking that the ex will ask for it back some day. So, should I just sell it or keep it in storage somewhere?

Sell it. Statute of limitations on ex's stuff in my book is 6 months, after that, do as you please.

    Yes, Utorrent.

If you are on friendly terms with the ex why not just ask her? Couldn't hurt. But if you really need the money that bad and don't care about it then sell it, three years is a long time for it to be sitting in your house without any sort of inquiry.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

you might want to open the case and look at the guitar btw, if it's been sitting for 3 years and you haven't touched it the neck might have warped/bent.

I just moved into an apartment (on base, so we can't paint the walls) with my husband. It's our first home together, and the first time we've both lived in our own place. We don't have a shit ton of money to spend so a lot of the decorations were either gifts or from yard sales. I have absolutely no idea what to do when it comes to decorating. Spoiled some pictures.

    Spoiler: show

We only got one panel of curtains to make sure it matches. That's the longest in size they have at the store, so it's probably going to look retarded no matter what. And we got the couch set for $150 total so don't talk shit about the hole in the back, suckas.

I fucking hate that corner wall (first picture), it fucks up the whole living room. I was thinking of moving the dining table in to the middle of that big space, and maybe putting some giant bookshelves against the wall. I don't know. Someone help.

I went to school for interior design, got a floor plan? I might be able to draw something up for you to line up the space a bit better, a good space plan can make a huge difference in how your apartment looks even if you can't change your wall color.

Okay. That could work. I don't have CAD anymore so I'll have to hand draft something but let me see what I can come up with.

Ok here is a nice random one. Trying to find this music video for a while now...and my old brain just cant remember the tag line.

The video was a techno/trance-ish type with a nightclub where everyone was in suits/tuxedos and there was water on the dancefloor and these giant fans that were blowing wicked hard blowing people off the dance floor and lifting up skirts (?) etc. The DJ is cut in every once and a while showing him ripping up the beat. Palette of the video was mostly blacks, browns, greys and some hints of other color here and thereish..again its a bit foggy in my mind atm.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Auto-related: I have a 97 nissan king cab SE truck (that's what the paper say >_>) with 1 of the glass shields on the back broken. I'm trying to find out the name of the whole part that the glass is attached to. I'm not car savvy, so it's a bit hard for me to describe, argh.

Okay Lyn, here's what I've come up with:

    Spoiler: show

It was hard for me to see where the entrances and exits to the different room were, so I kept that left wall clear for that reason. Add things as necessary there to keep it a little less bare.

    Recommendations:
    • First of all, replace that curtain. It looks awful. Measure from a few inches over the top of the window to a few inches over the top of the radiator. Get two curtains, and keep them framing either side of the window. Having that one panel stretched over the window just doesn't look good.
    • Get some cheap end tables from like Wal-Mart or IKEA. Sofas should always have end tables, it finishes off the look and balances the space better.
    • Get some lighting. Not sure how the overhead lighting is, but some table lamps in pretty much any color but black (you have enough of that already) would do wonders for the space and can allow you to create more intimacy when you want to turn off the overhead lighting.
    • Hang some pictures/art. You can hang them in clusters or get a couple huge ones. I marked in green the best places (IMO) to hang things. In the living room area, the pics surrounding your TV should be relatively the same size. Balance again.
    • It was hard to see in your pics, but the kitchen seems to have a small bar? I didn't draw them in the floor plan, but get some cheap barstools for that corner, it will add interest to that otherwise blank side of the room.
    • That little corner by the eating area, I put some shelves. I found some great ones that are about that size at Wal-Mart online a few months ago, put some books/DVDs/CDs in them and put some nice vase/picture frames over them. You can hang some art/pictures on the wall above those as well. You might even get a couple of floor lamps on either side of them with some low watt bulbs to highlight whatever you're displaying on the shelves.
    • Remember to leave enough space to walk around. I gave about 2.5 to 3 feet on the back side of the sofas to get out to your balcony and behind the chairs at your dining table. You want people to comfortably be able to get in and out, and the room will look bigger.
    • Hang mirrors, they will make the space look bigger.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you absolutely hate my ideas.
