I need a ridiculously easy lab science class this semester, as I'm afraid of a huge workload from another class I'm taking.
I was looking at something like intro to astronomy or astronomy I. One friend said to avoid at all costs, but its either that or a harder bio/a&p.
environmental but I think it requires some travel to offsite labs, and that could conflict with other class times. Except for the evening class of course, but that one is super late.
Anyone know where I can stream UFC 140, I've googled it to no avail. Stuck at work and want to watch it.
Bank of America slapped me w/ a $6 fee for going over in my savings account (not even my checking), which I don't spend any money from anyways.
Looking at my history, the only thing that makes me go into red is that 6 dollar fee itself when I had 1.85 in the savings, putting me at -4.15
I have some dumb shit called keep the change, which anything that isn't a complete dollar after a purchase gets put into my savings instead of my checkings and then once a week, I usually have to transfer it back, but it won't let you transfer more money than you have even if you try (which I did once, months ago to test it and it just says "you don't have that much in your savings account")
Anyone else have anything like this before? Niggas ain't gettin me for my 6 dollars
Did you write a $2 check from your savings account or something?
I've never written a check as long as I've been w/ them.
I've only ever used my debit (which is linked to my checkings) or the ATM (which is again w/ my debit)
Oh i see an excess withdrawal fee?
I'll have to go check, I suppose, but I doubt it. 99% of the time I'm at the ATM it's because I'm making a deposite. 99% of all my purchases are made w/ my debit card. I only withdraw if it's something that's cash only.
I wasn't a fan of BoA, since they seemed to have all sorts of fees. Was it a overdraft fee, or some new thing they added where they charge you 6 bucks a month if the balance is under 3 grand or something? When I moved out of florida, my BoA account had like 3 bucks in it that I wasn't going to bother closing my account over. I think it got down to like -45 before they realized I wasn't going to give them another dime.
This is why you switch from BoA, all they ever do is fuck you over. Personally, I had wachovia for years and loved them. Wells Fargo bought them out unfortunately, but in the months since it's happened I still haven't had an issue. As a bonus perk, they don't allow you to overdraft any more; I was short on money one month and netflix was coming out, but it was gonna put me in the red by like 2 bucks. Netflix went to take money out, and my account was short, but the very next day the charge was denied and I got a message saying part of their new system is not allowing you to overdraft, so they just canceled the charge.
Speaking of banks, I think I might need to switch mine over cause mine doesn't have a Columbus branch (or anywhere else really for that matter) although I like the bank a lot because they don't give me shit and they play fair. It's a small one but it just got bought by a bigger one, which is still not major. Which banks don't suck? My bf just got Chase, he had to switch it from Wells Fargo since we don't have that around here either >_< I'm not sure if I want to switch to Chase or a different bank or try a credit union or something, I don't know anything about them.
Money management sucks @_@
Only thing I could suggest is to call them and ask them to waive it 'as a one time courtesy'
As for banks. I currently use fidelity for my checking account. If i wanted to move my checking for some reason I would first look at a local credit union. Second, I would look at USAA, or Navy Federal, but navy federal requires some connection to military, like a brother or grandparent. Failing that I would look at alliant, and then finally the big banks.
I'm a go in there today, if they won't give me the $6 back, will close the account on the spot
BoA charges you a fee if you speak to a bank teller
I have BoA and I have never had any issues with them, with fees or otherwise. The only time I've been charged a fee, I deserved it. Went into the red once because of an emergency truck repair and didn't do the math right. Shit happens.
Cream question, if you're just going to transfer the money out of your savings account and back into checking on a constant basis why even bother with a savings account and not just keep only the checking account to avoid this hassle in the first place?
I get extra fees w/o having both, according to them and my fee was apparently for my number of transfers between the two, which they never said anything to me about before.
Anyways, I told them I wanted to withdraw all my money and close both accounts and they waved the fee and gave me extra transfers for this month, lol.
That actually happened to me before and I raised a big stink about it and got the fee waived too. (I bank with Wells Fargo though) The teller at my bank informed me that this is a federal law that banks are required to charge a fee if you make too many transfers from your savings into your checking account in a single month. The number resets each month though so just make sure you don't transfer from savings to checking more than the allotted amount each month or close the savings and only keep the checking. Just wanted to let you know you will most likely experience the same strange fee at another bank too if you transfer from savings to checking too many times.
